The Love Song

Epilogue.

I stood up when I saw a tear roll down his grey eye and my heart went out to him.

“Adrian.” I said and then gently kissed his tear away. He was still quite but my nerves were racking!

What was taking him so much time!

"Tell me!" I begged and his lips twitched.

"I'm thinking about it." He said and winked down at me.

“I will.” He said and I almost cried out with relief and happiness.

"You, cry baby!" I teased him and he growled down at me.

"Oh, you! I'm gonna get you for that!" He said and then picked me up and tossed me over his shoulder.

"ADRIAN!" I shrieked and he demped me on the bed.

“I love you, Tempy.” He said again and I knew this was the right time to ask him.

“How?” I asked and again his wicked smile was back on that beautiful face.

“You know when I met Amber for the first time and Jason asked me in front of her if I would be his best man, I said only if the maid-of-honour was a hot lady, Amber assured me she was, so after that all she ever told me about was a certain woman whom she only called ‘dodo’. After I head about all your rendezvous I think I fell for her then only if not then I rather liked her even though I had never seen her.” He said and my mind went a little blank thinking, hoping that that ‘she’ was me only.

“And then I met you, from the very first time you banged into me I knew I was in danger because I liked you like hell too, and then came the time when I had to meet dodo and I never imagined that YOU would be her, I was so shocked at the pub.” He said and my mind went crazy, Adrian was really smitten by me.

“You hid it well.” I commented recalling he had not been shocked at all.

“I had to or otherwise you would have realised just how much I liked you and wanted to be with you and all the time I was conspiring and then suddenly you just gave me the chance, seven dates, I had thanked my lucky stars after that every day, but then being with you was not easy at all, everytime I saw you my heart skipped a beat and all the time I tried to be near you, you pushed me away, everytime. I was so frustrated; I really wanted to beat some sense into you.” He said with gritted teeth, I could hardly believe what he was saying.

“And then everytime I met you and the song would go off something would happen to you and I would believe maybe you had some feelings for me too …” He was saying but I was stuck at only one word ‘the song’, I gasped in shock.

“The song?” I croaked out and Adrian blushed. He BLUSHED.

“Oh my god, you played them everytime didn’t you?” I asked him in a daze and his colour deepened but he nodded.

“And to think that was some crazy fate binding me to you.” I whispered and Adrian’s expression changed.

“Please don’t be angry with me, Amber told me that she had told you about ‘the love song’ and almost forced me to try but then you were reacting like she said you would and I couldn’t resist then .” He said and he looked so cute saying that, I actually laughed, I was feeling so stupid now, Adrian went to so much trouble just to win me over and here I thought he didn’t love me at all.

“You know what? I’m glad you got all those songs. It was pretty romantic.” I said.

“So you’re not angry with me?” He asked and when I nodded his smile came back.

“You’re hard to resist.” I mumbled and then went on tip-toe to kiss him.

“Wait, one thing before we work on our family.” He said and I blushed, he chuckled when he saw me blush, then from the back pocket oh his jeans he took out …

“Oh, my god.” I whispered as Adrian took my hand and then slipped the engagement ring on my finger, I stared at it.

“See I told you I was planning to go to any length to get you.” He whispered in my ear and then he raised my hand to his lips and kissed the ring. He then pixked up his phone and a song burst out.

"This is the first of many, I promise." He whispered and then his lashes swooped down.
