CHAPTER NINETEEN
“Why would I be?!” He removed my hands and kicked the white unicorn stuffed toy near the teddy bear.
“Hey! It will get dirty!” I slapped his shin and dusted the toy’s supposed to be hair or fur or whatever it was called. “So you're not jealous?”
“I said I'm not!” Idiot. I wanted you to be.
Still, I smiled cheekily. “YAY! I could keep all of them then!”
“No, you wouldn’t!” He stopped me when I was about to lift the boxes of chocolates. I had to place them inside the fridge before they melt. It’s already a wonder why they weren’t melting yet.
“They are mine, Hunter.”
“Throw them away,” he said, more like a command than a request.
I raised an eyebrow. “No way in hell. You said you're not jealous, so I don’t see a reason why you should be agitated about me keeping everything.”
“I AM JEALOUS! So throw them all away or I swear to God I’ll ruin everything in front of you!” he boomed. I mentally grew wings and flew straight to Heavens. He sat down on my porch steps, sulking.
Thank you, everyone who gave me everything in my lawn. I got to see Hunter overly jealous. He's so hot when he's so worked up like that, I tell you! Nom.
My smile grew wider, if that’s still possible. I hummed as I hugged him from his back. I rubbed his arms in a soothing manner, though his muscles remained tensed. I was slightly taller than him now since he was sitting three steps lower. My legs were on his sides and I peeked on him sideways.
“I'm glad…” I whispered. Even if his face was still distorted because of his heavy frowning, he was undeniably gorgeous.
“Yeah, right! Because EVERYBODY here looooooves you SOOOOO much that they literally flooded your lawn!”
“You're right. But, that’s not what I'm glad for.” He looked at me from the corner of his eyes, still refusing to face me. I shifted my head to his other shoulder but he just turned his head to the opposite direction. “Hunter, you're the only one I love. See the difference? I might fancy them and their gifts because they care for me, but at the end of the day, whose arms am I in? Yeah, Hunter, please remind me.”
“Tch, I still don’t want those garbage near you.”
“They are NOT garbage! Okay, I won't keep them, but I won't throw them away either. I’ll give them to Skylar, my amazing brother.”
