CHAPTER TWENTY-FIVE

I paced around the kitchen for about half an hour, just thinking of how stupid I acted back there. I groaned in irritation and pulled my hair, then ran my palms through my face harshly afterwards.

I was wrong that I flirted back at the store, alright, but saying that he won't kiss me again EVER was just… awful!

I kicked the first hard thing that I saw and cursed loudly, seeing that what I kicked was the edge of the doorframe. Fucking annoying!

And just my luck, the doorbell rang. So jumping in one foot, since I was nursing the other, I went to the front door and opened it.

“What?!” I snapped, not caring who was or were at the other side.

My three best friends raised their hands and surrendered right away, shock written all over their faces.

“Are we… interrupting something?” Caleb asked, eyeing me warily while the two seemed to shrink behind him.

I sighed, shaking my head and now standing in both feet. “I'm sorry. I didn’t mean to snap at you and no, you're not interrupting anything. How I wish you are, actually.” I left them to let themselves in and went back to the kitchen. Judging by the footsteps behind me, they must have followed where I was going. “What brought you here?”

Sounds of stools being pulled filled the silence as I took the goods out of the grocery bags. I sighed again, remembering my fight with my mate.

“Silver’s house is really cozy,” whispered Stefan in awe. When I saw him from the corner of my eyes, his gaze was wandering all around, taking in what he could see from where he was sitting.

“You can go around the house if you want, just don’t enter Silver’s room or cause too much noise,” I said. I didn’t have to tell them where Silver’s room was, they can easily smell him. And knowing my mate, he probably fell asleep. I sighed once more. I better think of a way now how to make up with him. Seeing how stubborn he was, he won't be the first one to apologize, even if he was clearly at fault in some way in our fight as well.

“Where is he, anyway?” added Stefan.

“What's with all the sighs?” Caleb mused.

“Alpha, I'm hungry,” Aiden complained, as if that should be my problem.

They all said those at the same fucking time. Right. Do that. As if I wasn’t pissed off enough already.

“Do whatever you want, guys. I don't care. Just don’t cause too much noise because my mate is sleeping in his room. We just fought right before you came so I don't know how to face him yet, so shush. AND, I'm going to cook now. So you, Aiden, would best stop complaining or you wouldn’t get any. Now, you're still not answering my question.”
