I Say, Come And Get Me

Hey, I'm June Jones. I realize this is probably the cheesiest way to start a book, but eh. Who cares at this point.

Right now I'm shopping with my bestfriend Lilian. Tony gave me his credit card and said 'Go crazy', so that's what we're doing.

We've gone to five different stores and bought things at all five. We've only spent like 300 dollars, so I think that's an accomplish of some sort.

"We have to go in there!" Lilian squealed grabbing my hand.

Now you may be thinking 'Shopping is one of the worst teenage girl clichés', but I kinda really hate shopping, and I only agreeded to go because I got Tony's credit card and because Lilian wanted to go.

Lilian ran into the store and smelled the air. Smelled like five thousand different perfumes to me.

I instantly got a headache.

"Hey do you mind if I wait outside?" I asked slipping my hand from Lilian's.

"No. I'll try to be quick," She smiled back at me and ventured deeper into the store.

I made a dash for the door. I just needed fresh air!

I stepped outside and smelled... pretzels!

I walked around for a couple of minutes trying to find the food shop. I don't remember the name, but it had vanilla shakes and pretzels. It looked like a trap.

And it was. I bought two pretzels and a shake just for myself.

What can I say? I skipped breakfast.

I hurried back to the shop and found Lilian waiting outside.

"Where did you- oh you found food!" She grabbed a pretzel from my hand and a shake from the carrier.

"Yeah I found food. I was thinking we could go sit down and eat. It would be easier then walking around and eating," I took a step towards the food court tables.

"Sure!" She skipped over to the tables.

She is going to wear me out today.

"Hey June! How was the mall?" Steve asked setting a plate down for supper.

I dropped all my bags at my feet and sat on the ground.

"You tired?" He set a bowl down on the table.

I groaned and shook my head.

"You wanna go take a nap? Supper won't be done for awhile," He looked down at me. I was already half asleep.

"Bucky!" Steve said quietly enough not to wake me.

Bucky walked into the kitchen, "What?"

"You wanna take her to her room?" He pointed to me with a spoon.

"Yeah," Bucky hooked his arms under my legs and neck and lifted me up.

"What's happening?" I mumbled too asleep to comprehend what was happening around me.

"Taking you to your bed June. You're gonna take a nap," he nudged my door open with his foot and placed me on my bed.

"M'kay."

Bucky pulled the blanket over my shoulder.

" 'Night."

"G'night Dad."
