"I'm not afraid to fight." Kyle threatened Cartman. But Cartman's eyes softened. "I'm not going to hur-"
Suddenly, above them, a rumbling sound echoed throughout the chambers in the cave, and the room they were in vibrated. "What the fuck?" Kyle found himself saying out loud. "I think we have to go back, NOW." Cartman said in a panicked voice. He grabbed Kyle's hand, and ran as fast as he could, which was at an unusually fast pace, considering how fat Cartman was. Kyle jerked his hand away from him, and seethed, "Dammit Cartman, I'm capable of running by myself!" "We don't have time for that!" Cartman shouted. Kyle was surprised at how genuinely serious he was being. Kyle ran alongside Cartman retracing their previous routes and dashing towards the entrance. But, to their surprise, there was no entrance. Just a pile of rocks where the opening should have been. "Holy fuck, I think we've been sealed in!" Cartman shouted, his voice echoing throughout the chambers in the cave. The fatass tried in vain to push the rocks, but they were too heavy. "I think we're trapped!" Kyle could see the panic in Cartman's eyes. Kyle swore his heart skipped a couple beats. How the hell were they supposed to get out now? This all wouldn't have happened if Cartman hadn't brought him to this god forsaken cave in the first place. "Nice going, fat boy!" Kyle was more shocked than angry. He was internally panicking, knowing this was the only way out. "How the hell was I supposed to know that a fucking rockslide would happen?!" Cartman shouted back, his voice cracking. "Well maybe if you-" "If I what? Didn't bring you here in the first place, this wouldn't have happened?" Cartman yelled. "It doesn't matter! What's done is done! We're fucking dead now!" Cartman's breathing was faster than normal. Kyle himself began to panic. Even if they called out for help, there would be a small chance that someone would just be randomly walking out in the middle of the night near this cave that no one has been in for god knows how long. Kyle suddenly came up with an idea. "Hold on, hold on, maybe we could sleep here for now, and try to call out for help in the morning." Kyle suggested. "How will we know it's morning?" Cartman asked hopelessly. "We will know when we wake up." Kyle answered simply. "Okay, but this better work." Cartman said, in a more calmed down tone. Kyle lay down on the floor. Jesus, it was cold. But this was the only way he could sleep now. Cartman did the same, lying down on the floor next to Kyle. "Good night, fatass." Kyle said. "Good night, Jew." Cartman replied. They turned off their flashlights, which plunged them into total darkness, and tried to go to sleep. But no matter how much Kyle tried, he could not go to sleep. Not only was he cold, but he was also a little scared of what could be in the cave. Suddenly, a flashlight beamed at one of the walls, which Kyle had to squint in order to see, being that his eyes adjusted to the darkness. He saw Cartman holding the flashlight, his face red, and Kyle could tell that whatever Cartman was gonna say, it was gonna be incredibly awkward. "Hey, um, Kahl, I know both of us can't sleep, so I'm gonna, um, propose a solution." Cartman said nervously. "What is it?" Kyle asked, looking for anything that could help him fall asleep." "You're not gonna like it. But, I was thinking, what if we, uhh... snuggled together? It would be a bit warmer for both of us, and y'know..." Cartman's face was deep red now."What, no! That's... that's gay!" Kyle exclaimed in shock. "Think about it, Kahl, if we don't, we're probably not gonna get any sleep during the night, and then we won't know what time of day it is. And besides, we don't need to tell anybody about this." Cartman explained. Kyle had to admit, he did have a valid point. He sighed. "Fine. But when we get out of here, don't tell ANYBODY about this, okay?" Kyle groaned. Cartman eagerly nodded. Kyle sighed and wrapped his arms around him. Cartman did the same. It felt so much better with Cartman's warmth pressed up to him. Kyle also felt a lot safer when he cuddled with Cartman, though he did not want to admit this to himself. "Good night, Eric." Kyle said. Cartman seemed to be a little surprised at something, and then he said, "Good night, Kyle." Cartman turned off the flashlight, and the darkness overtook them once again. Kyle closed his eyes, and was about to sleep, when he realized that he called Cartman by his first name, and how Cartman actually said his name correctly in return. Kyle was weirded out by this, but his thoughts were cut off by sleep.
