The alarm went off and Scarlett snoozed it about ten times and now she only had five minutes to get ready for school. Scarlett fell off her bed and crawled to the bathroom. It was another Monday she had to survive through.
She hurriedly got ready. She put on an oversized white t shirt and black leggings. She didn't bother to do her hair and makeup. She looked exactly perfect for a Monday at high school. A messy bun that didn't look messy or cute. Hobo looking clothes, the best match for red and bloodshot eyes. Scarlett picked up her bag and decided to skip breakfast,which she knew she would regret in the very first class of the day.
She bust open the front door,probably waking up her aunt,and ran for her life to the alien planet called,high school.

Scarlett was luckily one minute early to school,so she decided to drop some books in her locker because her bag weighed a hundred pounds after she through her whole house into her bag,in a rush. As she shut her locker,she saw the goddess of high school walk down the corridor. It was zero degrees outside and still Ashley settled on wearing a white cropped sleeveless top with a pink mini skirt which was so tight and small you could consider it was her baby sisters. She had a pink leather jacket on and as she walked in she was taking selfies with her minions. Ashley had loathed Scarlett since first grade. They were enemies made in hell. They couldn't stand each other,perhaps because they used to be best friends,but when Ashley became popular and Scarletts parents had died,they both drifted apart from each other.
Ashely noticed Scarlett just as Scarlett was studying her. She strutted towards Scarletts locker,making clocking noises with her heels on purpose.
" Scarlett if that's what you call clothes then I don't even know if you are in your senses anymore!" She smirked and her minions laughed like the witches in gossip girls.
"FYI Ashley I'm not the one wearing my younger sisters clothes and being thirsty for attention. If anyone has lost their marbles it's you,so flip on that!" Scarlett smart allecked, she didn't even notice but Gabe was already there and gave her a supporting hoot in follow up with her roast.
Ashley looked at Scarlett with glaring eyes,up and down,sideways and backward. She flared her nostrils and did the only things he could think of. She pushed Scarlett on the ground with a large force. She opened her coffee cup and spilled the chilling hot liquid on Scarletts shirt.
"Now who's the one wearing a clown outfit.", Ashley proudly said. She gave Gabe a small wink before walking away. Scarlett was breathing out fire she wanted to kill that obnoxious demon. Scarlett got up and Gabe was holding her back , but she was not going to let this go easily. Scarlett marched up to Ashley and yanked her hair so hard that Ashley gave out an ear piercing scream and Scarlett had strings of her blonde hair in her hand. Ashley turned around and raised her hand. Scarlett wanted to see her try. As soon as Ashley's hand was about to touch Scarletts cheek a hand pulled Ashley's hand back.
"Leave her alone!", a wild looking Australian girl told Ashley. Next to her were standing a few teachers who instructed them to go to class. The girl was unique looking. She had blue hair, she wore glasses like Scarlett her self and she was wearing black and purple punk looking clothes. Turned out that Scarlett and that girl had first period together. Maybe they could get to know each other and Scarlett could thank her for what she did earlier.

"Now class,settle down,as you know that our school has a forgein in exchange program every year. Fortunately this year we have the new student. Everyone meet Laurel Rhimaki. She is from Australia and will be with you all this year. Would you like to say something about yourself Laurel?", Ms Gabrielle asked,for the first time she sounded nice,just to flaunt the new student.
"Um well I am form Australia, you know my name is Laurel, I am sixteen years old and I can't for an amazing year with you all!" Laurel chimed. Despite her rebellious looks she looked sweet. Everyone seemed bored , but Scarlett liked the new girl and wanted to be her friend.
"Ok now go ahead choose a seat and the person next to you will be your first day of school buddy!", Ms Gabrielle exclaimed. She seemed pretty excited for a Monday . Laurel studied the whole room. Gabe sat next to Scarlett and on her other side there was an empty seat next to the window. Laurel picked up her books and came directly to the seat next to Scarlett. She sat down slowly and started fiddling with her hair. Ms Gabrielle had already started the class and now everyone was writing their notes down.
"Hey I'm Scarlett! Thanks for what you did back there, you know with Ashley!" Scarlett told Laurel. Laurel seemed confused at first,probably because she didn't expect anyone to even look at her on the first day. She then snapped out of her thought and blinked several times.
"Oh yeah that's no problem! My cousin can be a pain in the head sometimes!" Laurel casually told Scarlett. Ashley was her cousin?
"No way that monster is related to you! You are so much better than her! Hey tell you what , why don't you come sit with us in break if there is no one else around?" Scarlett asked laurel politely.
"Of course! I would love to!" Laure exclaimed.
Just then Ms Gabrielle gave a choking cough and stopped writing.
"Is there a problem girls?" Ms Gabrielle asked. She seemed to go back to her usual rude self.
"No Ms Gabrielle just getting to know our fellow classmate!" Scarlett chimed and turned back to her notes....

Scarlett picked up her tray of food and headed to the table where Gabe was waiting for her.
"Hey,listen you don't mind if the new girl,Laurel sits with us?" Scarlett asked Gabe. He thought about it for a second , and then slowly a blush spread across his face.
"Um Gabe is everything alright?" Scarlett gave out a small chuckle. She realised what was going on and couldn't help her laugh.
"It's nothing like that!" Gabe crosses his arms over his chest like a little child throwing a tantrum. He slowly relaxed and gave out a sigh and smiled. "Yeah sure, no problem ,she can sit with us." He assured Scarlett .
Scarlett gave him a cheeky smile. Just in the right moment Laurel came towards their table and waved.
"Hey guys thanks so much for letting me sit with you. I would be sitting with the new geeks over there in the corner." Laurel said. She started eating her lunch and seemed pretty nice.
"Haha no problem! You're amazing ! Or at least you are better than you're cousin Ashley!" Scarlett said,it had been along time since she actually liked creating conversation. She found her self pretty comfortable around Laurel .
Gabe choked on his drink. "What did you just say? Ashley is HER cousin?"Gabe asked in disbelief. His eyes were popping out of his head and he had a questioning look displayed.
"Yeah kind of weird to have your cousin be miss high school and you yourself are "the new girl.""Laurel said while making apostrophes with her hands. Gabe and Scarlett just simply laughed,she wasn't bad at all. Scarlett felt so cheered up for a Monday, it was unbelievable . Maybe this Monday wasn't so bad at all.....
