Running up the stairs, Dana dodged past other officers as she made her way to the body. It wasn't that she was impatient, -though, she was- she just wanted to get all she needed before the three men were upstairs. And she'd be lying if she said she wasn't curious as to what Sherlock Holmes could do.
When she opened the door to the room the victim was in, the first thing she noticed with the amount of pink. The woman wore a pink coat, pink heels and even had her finger nails painted pink. Effort in public image. Noted. The next thing, was the word she had started to scrap into the wood, probably seconds before she died. Scratch in by hand, left handed. Rache; German for revenge. She translated, before shaking her head. No, it's something else. Maybe a name? Rachel? Feeling more satisfied with that answer, she started to inspect the actual body.
Crouching down beside the body, she dragged her hand along the back of the coat, before looking at her hand. Wet. She concluded by the glistening on her gloves. Looking in a pocket, she pulled out an umbrella to find it was dry. So she didn't take it out. Turning to her coat collar, she ran her fingers along the inside. Wet. Alright, so she came from some where it rained recently, but she didn't need her umbrella. What else?
Turning to her jewelry, the ginger noticed almost every piece was polished and cleaned. Expect for her wedding ring. Interesting. Raising an eye brow, she gently worked it from the woman's finger. Dirty, so that makes her unhappily married for close to ten, maybe more, years judging by the layers of grime. Turning it around in her fingers, she noted that the inside was much, much, cleaner than the outside of the ring. Regularly removed. Final conclusion? Serial adulterer. Nodding, she slipped the ring back on her finger. As she did, the three men made their way into the room.
“Her name is Jennifer Wilson.” Lestrade said, seeing Dana stand up.
“Thank you.” She gave him a brief smile before opening the blue suit slightly and taking out her phone. “All yours, Mr. Holmes.” She shot over her shoulder before she started to type away on her phone. Sherlock stared at the green-eyed woman for a moment before turning to the body. All three men were silent, that is till the curly haired one spoke up harshly.
“Shut up.” That caused even Dana to look up at him.
“I didn't say anything.” Lestrade looked at him, confused.
“You were thinking.” Sherlock pointed out. “It's annoying.” Rolling her eyes, the only woman in the room turned back to her phone. The tall man sure was interesting. While she searched up weather maps, she was faintly aware of said man doing what she had done moments before. When she found what she was looking for, she smiled. There we are.
“Got anything?” The Detective Inspector asked, catching the look on both Dana's and Sherlock's faces.
“Not much.” The man smirked, taking of his gloves.
“All I need.” The woman smiled. “Here.” Looking at Sherlock, she tossed her phone over to him. Catching it, the tall man glanced at what she still had on the screen before smirking. So, she has come to the same conclusion.
“She's German.” At hearing Anderson, everyone but Sherlock turned to look at him. “Rache.” He pointed out. “It's German for revenge.” Rolling his eyes, the trench coated man glanced at the woman, and she nodded. “She could be trying to tell us-”
“Yes. Thanks for you input Phillip.” Smiling, the ginger closed the door before rolling her eyes. Idiot.
“So she's German?” Lestrade suppressed a sigh -they way those two act, having just met...it was almost uncanny- as he looked at Dana. However, she did not answer.
