A Quest For Beauty

I once asked a Bird
The reasons for her songs
The tone that underlines her melody
And the little Bird replied
"I sing to serenade the beauty within
I sing to tame the raging flood
I sing because I've a voice to be heard
That's unique in my feather flock"

Once I asked a Lilly
The reason for her weird dwelling
The secrets behind her spotless garment
And the pretty Lilly replied
"Where people fail I flourish
Leaving boldly a landmark
The place don't make me, I make it
Creating a world in the void
Underneath the dirt covered plane
Lays boundless and ageless beauty

Once I asked a painter
The secret to his brush
The magic to his paints
From which he creates
Smiling, he turned and said
"I create but the world in me
Locked in transcendent lines"

Once I met a writer
With a bleeding pen
Painting visual images in words
Recreating history and time
The young writer taught me much
Replying to my wandering quest
He inked a dot on a sheet saying
"To mere eyes it looks but nothing
But from this, a line comes to life"

In my quest, I've seen beauty
It's source behind an open vault
Hidden in impossible possibilities
In a river of synopsis.
