3. My Neighbor

It's time for me to get off since Noah's wife Chelsey just came home from work with the bags of Bi-Lo bags since she went grocery shopping on her way home. Chelsey is the security guard at the grocery store has been doing it for 5 years. I get off around 2pm since I be at work most of the day.

I pulled up to my house as I saw my neighbor Unique waving at me. I turned the car off, got out, locked it and headed to her house.
"Hey Virginia how is worth?" She asked
"It's okay" I said
"I'm having an tea party I wondered are you coming" She said
"Sure let me go and change my clothes first" I said

I went in the house so I can change my clothes before I go to next door. Unique is my next door neighbor that about the same size as me that got an live in boyfriend who work at his dad barber shop. They been together since when they was in college which is now they both got an job.

After I put on something simple, I turned the lights off, put my coat on, grabs my house keys and heads out the door and locked them before I headed to next door for the tea party. I went on the porch knocks on the door.
"Come in" She yelled. I open the door with the apple cinnamon sents hit my nose.
"Hey Ginia, how is work doing?" She said making an tea.
"It okay same ol same ol" I said sitting on her loveseat.
"How is Davon doing?" I asked about her boyfriend that hit on me a few times.
"He doing okay he about to get off of work in the hour" She said put the hot tea on the glass tea cups.

Her boyfriend Davon hits on me a few times when he cutting the grass but he got an girlfriend and I'm not going to sleep with my best friend boyfriend. I'm not going to lie, he got the nice body and he very a sweet guy but he with Unique which is she lucky to have.
"Here's it go?" She said handed me the tea and turn the TV on ABC 13.

I carefully took an sip of the mint tea because it's hot and I'm not trying to burn my mouth.
"Have you found the man of your own?" She asked
"No" I said not ready to give another man my heart yet even I been single for 3 years.
"I understand that you got your heart broken before but there are good man around. You should give love another try" She said
"You are right Unique" I said
"Of course I'm right but not right now but when you are ready" She said taking an sip of the tea.

At least she don't be shoving "I need a man in my life" down my throat like my mom and my aunt do. Since my mom move to Anderson a year ago, she be telling me to get a man in my life knowing that I'm fine being single and don't need a man. It's same with my aunt from my mom side even she stays at Atlanta, GA.

Sometimes, I be wanting to get a man so my families from my mom side can get off of my back about settling down. I mean come on, marriage is not for everybody because there are so many women in the world that are fine being single. Me and Unique in her living room continue talking until it's time for me to go home.
