Barley the second day of school and I already wanna take a day off. I throw myself out of bed and make my way to the bathroom, making sure to turn on my stero. I change and do my hair and make up. It was freezing outside even though it was like 90° out yesterday. Like what the fuck?

After that I make my way downstairs and turn on my coffee maker. I turn on the TV and wait for my parents to yell at me.

"Good morning. " My dad says.

Confused I look up at my dad.

"Good morning? " I say.

"Your mom isn't here today. She had to go to Kentucky for a meeting. She should be back this afternoon.

I roll my eyes. Like I care.

"Well tell her I love her, I guess."

"Have a good day at school, sweetheart. " He mumbles.

He is mad.

"Bye."

I turn off the TV and look at the blank screen. I sigh and then I grab my coffee and my keys. I lock my doors and make my way to my car to go pick up Anna. Just like I had promised.

"Thank you again for picking me up, Perla." Anna says smiling at me.

I look at her and nod. "No problem. We're going to the same place anyways. "

"I'm surprised Chris didn't get mad that I brought you over. He usually doesn't like my friends. I always thought he was jealous and wanted me all to himself." She laughs.

Yeah I'm pretty sure it's the opposite. I mentally hit myself. How could I be so rude? She is a nice person. Was I ....jealous of her?

"Yeah well he didn't tell me anything. " I lie. Oh my god. Your a bad friend.

"Oh... well I hope we can become best friends. Like the three musketeers!!" She smiles and hugs my arm.

I laugh as well and smile.

At school we learned about things we would never even use in real life. My face was probably red from leaning on my hand in boredom. It was already 7th hour and I was absolutely starving! ! Anna and I had made a plan to go out to eat after school since the food here was disgusting. Chris was supposed to meet us there which made me more anxious for class to end. I just had 10 more minutes and then I would be surrounded in the amazing smells of Olive Garden. My favorite restaurant ever. I yawn and let my head fall back down. God I was tired.

The bell rings and I bust out of my seat toward my locker were we are supposed to meet. I turn to reach into my bag to get my phone and I bump into someone. I fall and land on my back. The wind knocked out of me.

"Ouch." I say.

"Oh god! I'm so sorry!!" A guy with a thick english accent says. I look up while rubbing my head, a headache coming on, and see a gorgeous guy with black hair and bright blue eyes. Perfect positioned dimples on his cheek, that show even though he isn't smiling. He's stunning.

"Umm..." I mumble.

"Here let me help you up. "

He pulls me up to my feet and grabs my phone that had fallen on the floor.

I keep looking at him, not being able to process my thoughts.

"Hello?" I hear him say.

He laughs. A smile that would be considered perfect.

"I asked if you were okay."

"Oh yeah I'm fine." I say, embrassed.

"I'm Alec." He sticks out his hand. I shake it.

"Perla. Nice to..meet you." I smile shyly.

"Perla!!! There you are missy! I've been looking for y-." She looks at Alec and smiles. "Hi Alec.... what's up?"

"Nothing much...just bumping into your pretty friend.." He laughs and winks at me. I smile, my face turning red. He called me pretty. ..

"We should get going Anna. Before we miss our reservation." I mumble.

"Oh right. Well it was nice seeing you again, Alec. You got hotter than the last time I saw you! " She laughs and puts her arm around mine "let's go eat!"

Alec smiles. "You know it."

Anna pulls me me away and I turn to look at Alec. He's still staring at me. He looked lost in thought and then he sees me staring. He smiles. I smile back and wave. Bye.

I stuff a bread stick into my mouth, while Anna finishes ordering for Chris. Right when the waiter leaves Chris walks in. He sees me and smiles. I wave at him. He sits down across from me and Anna.

"Sorry I'm late guys. Had to drop off krizzy and Crawford at the movies."

"Crawford? " I ask

"My brother. I don't think you've meet him yet. So what happened in school today? Anything new."

"Nothing really." Anna shrugs and gets a drink of water.

"Same . Nothing"

Anna starts coughing up the water. I blush.

"Nothing!" She looks at Chris. "She meet a guy today. A reallllly hot British guy." She says smiling.

"Bumped into him. On accident. And he wasn't THAT hot.." I lie

"Yeah yeah. .." Anna jokes.

Chris doesn't say anything but just plays with his cup of water.

..... He was jealous....
