4. The Reunion

20 minutes after the call

As he was leaning on the wall, Aiden saw Mary coming his direction, with a swift walk and visible irritation on her face.

The same evening Mary was sitting on her bed, reading the book. Yet she couldn't focus on reading, as she was thinking about what Aiden said. Then she heard her phone ringing, She already thought it's her mom calling from the hospital that her father just died. But it was her father himself. She never felt such calmness in her. She picked up the phone with joy.
-What is it dad?
-Hey, sweetie, you want something from the grocery? I'm stopping by.
-No, thanks dad. See you at home.
She hanged up, and stopped worrying immediately "What now, Aiden? Still want me to believe your fairy tale?" Said to herself in mind, and continued reading. After 15 minutes another phone call. This time from her mom. As her dad confirmed he's ok she didn't worry and thought her mom is just going to say she'll be a bit late tonight. But when she picked up, she got stunned, her mom said "Dad just died, sweetheart... He's no longer here" and after saying that she started to cry and hanged up. Mary was still stunned. She couldn't believe it. "But how would he know? It was just a... just a stupid fairy tale..." She couldn't think about that any longer and called Aiden

When she arrived Aiden was already waiting.
