Scattered [A Mallory Winston Spin-Off]

[Backround]

[A/N: So all my spin-offs are going to have one of these background information sections to give an idea of what time period of the over-all Mallory Winston story this takes place in (or what universe in some cases), even though none of it is actually canon.]

Scattered takes place when Mallory is 17, her 18th birthday being a few days away. (September 8th to be precise).

She's living with her parents, and they dislike Billie but are still allowing her to do guitar lessons with him; she's learning bass at the moment. They're lessons aren't all the time, but they see each other several times a week and are really close and are beginning to consider themselves as a father and daughter.

Mallory and Joey have already broken up, but are on good terms and are still friends. Billie is still being regularly abused by Adrienne, but hasn't gone to anyone about it; only Mallory has been told directly about his situation, though Billie won't let her get involved or tell anyone.
