"What the fuck Ezra?"I shouted not believing his words.
"I know, I know it sucks but,I'll change.I swear.Those days I will steal but at the moment I earn money from my job I promise,I will stop"He says and he seems truthful but,why?"
"I was shocked.I know no one is perfect but I was shocked and surprised"I said and dad removed his glasses from stress.
"Damn!Actually I think if I was in his place I will do worst than that so I can't judge him"Said dad.
"I agree,You will probably kidnap girls and rape them"I mumbled.
"What did you say?"He asked.
"Nothing"I answered with a smile.
"Any way,Complete"He ordered.
"We changed the subject and he left really early and I started studying and his timetable was pretty good which made me even more shocked about him stealing wallets from men in the street"I said and dad chuckled.
"I didn't see him after that for like three days and then the fourth day I was supposed to buy fast food so,I went to the restaurant he bought from that day and didn't find him but,I bought for the two of us and when I went to my flat.."
"He was waiting at your door"Dad interrupted and I laughed.
"Nope"I said with a smile.
"I bought two sandwiches and two cans of coke and walked my way back home.
I was walking looking around myself like crazy hoping to see him but,he wasn't there at the end I found him when I got near to my flat.
I swear we are soulmates,if I were him I would do the same.
He was wearing sunglasses and a flat cap and fake beard.A FAKE BEARD.
"EZRA!"I shouted his name and he was the only one in the street.
He threw the sunglasses and put on his normal glasses and walked to my direction.
I laughed loudly.He is so stupid.
"At that place,your face was dirty and there were little hairs at different spots so I can recognize you with beard easily"I laughed and he chuckled.
"Come in I bought us food"I smiled and was about to enter but he held my arm.
"Wait,are we fine?"He asked.
"I said I bought us food,I'm hungry"I said and entered and he was behind me.I gave him the food and got my keys to open the door.
"I started working in a laundry"He said and I looked at him.
"good"I said giving him a small smile and opened the door."
"We chatted a little and he showed me some drawings of his and that's all"I told dad.
"so you were just friends"Dad deduced but said this to make sure we weren't more than that.
"Yeah,I was busy with studying after my grades had dropped so we couldn't get closer at that time but we were most of the time together"I said then took my last sip from my cappuccino mug.
"It was three weeks after the trauma and I had my first exam in a pretty long time and I left most of the questions unsolved and not even touched but solved some and I didn't fail"I confessed.
"Good job"Dad said and for a reason a smile was drawn on my face.
"Yeah,Thanks!"
"Don't you need some rest?"Asked dad.
"Okay,we will complete tomorrow"I said and stood up and took my bag,went towards the door then stopped.
"Dad,I have a question that will probably make you throw something at me"I said and he looked numb.
"Okay,ask"He said taking his mug preparing himself to throw it.
I laughed then asked rolling my eyes at the end,"What happened between you and that sexy lady?"
He looked at me and put that mug back in its place.
"What happened is Karma"He said as an intro and completed,"I know we will never be the same and whatever I say you won't hear but,I was scared of getting old"
"So you run with a girl in your daughter's age?"I asked.
"No,Alice,I didn't run and she is not your age.You are eighteen and she is twenty six"He said loudly forcing me to laugh.
"You are so funny but,for real tho what really happened?"
"She cheated on me"He said and I held on my laugh.
"Alice,You don't know how it feels like when you used to do something and now you can't because of your age"He said and I didn't talk.
"It angers me that my hand shakes when I try to write a medicine to a patient and that I can't eat a lot of your mother's cake that I adore so that I can wake up the next day and not enter a coma or die while sleeping because of diabetes ,It hurts me that I can't run again like a fucking child or chase you because I got knee problems,Alice"He said breaking my heart and my tears were ready to fall. I've never experienced this obviously but it hurts.I'm kind of sad for him.
"Happily you won't get those cakes again. Yay, you will live"I said increasing his pain and closed the door behind my back and left crying.
I went home and opened the door and saw Noah was sitting on the couch and beside him was a red haired girl.
"Maria"I shouted and Noah looked at me first and smile and then she looked.
I ran to her and she opened her arms for a hug.We hugged for around 3 minutes and then went upstairs to my room.
As we entered the room,I pointed on myself then my chin and then on her telling her 'I miss you' in sign language.
And so we started sharing our sadness and traumas and she was the only one that knew what happened to me from the very start.
