Dinner time. Only 45minutes before the New Year.
Leah, Jen and Chris look flawless. Well Jill is beautiful too.
Christina is drunk. She has problems with Adam. Thats obviously but they dont want to talk about it. But we are their friends right.
We are drinking wine. I stand up and take my glass.
"Cheers for Jenny and Harry" I began and they looked at me weird
"No, I havent messed up. Congrats to these two. I have to admit that we are amazed by the result of your experiment. We were expecting broken bones, courts, police and yeah. But you did it great even if some of us were doubting" I say and drink the wine
They smile.Jen and Harry would be nice couple but Marc and Jill arent bad too.
Leah did a great job by meeting Jenny and Marc. She's happy, but I see the way she looks at Harry.
"Who gave the idea?" Marc asked
"Jennifer!" "Harry!" they say in union
"Actually, Jen paid me $20 000 so she can take my gens" Harry laughs
"We did it together. We were single, not really young, we are responsible and we trust each other!" Jen said
"The truth is that they didnt want to ruin their romance and relationship, As their friends did" Chris said. Sipping of her wine
"You are drunk" Adam said
"And you are an asshole"
Jen's POV
Whoa. Im mind blown. Everybody is.
Adam stands up and leave to take a bottle of whiskey from the fridge.
"Anyway, you both did it great and David is an amazing kiddo" Leah said
Harry and I smiled.
"He really is"
"I think that all the parents think their kids are awesome and perfect. Otherwise it wont be legal, you know" Jill said.
Really? Really like really?
"Jill, do you want to have kids?" Leah asked
"No way! I cant be responsible to somebody else. Its just weird. But you guys were born to be parents"
Oh look..
"They arent" Adam said
Ha? I look at him
"Excuse me?" Harry put down the glass. He was about to drink
"Thats true. You're awful parents. What are you going to say to David when he grow up?"
"We'll think when this come. We have read all the possible books and blogs" "So we are prepared"
"Some people are not meant to be parents" Chris says and looked at Adam
He just sigh
"So what are you going to say when this monogamy ends?" Adam asked
"Yeah, I have this problem right now with my sons. It's hard to explain to them that Im gonna date new women. They aint gonna meet her until Im sure she is serious"
I feel upset. I havent met his sons. Am I not serious? Am I only for entertaining? But..
"You're fucked" Adam laughs and turns to Harry
"Excuse me?" Harry turns too
He is getting pissed. He could explode at any moment, just like grenade.
"You heard me"
"Have you noticed that I've never been happier than now?" "People change, Adam. You didnt drink whiskey before. Look at you now"
"How are you going to tell David that, actually you dont love his mother?"
I just sit there and wait for his answer. I love Harry. I do.
"Oh, you think I dont love her? I have loved this woman for 19 years. This is the half of my life. I know everything about Jennifer, I know her mood when she wakes up. I know how she would react on every situation. I know her answer on every question. I know she is honest. She would never take the little shampoo from the hotels. She always buys two tickets when she goes to cinema in case she lose the one. We both think that the organised religion is a bullshit. If she get in comma I will be one to decide if the doctor should stop the machines. Tell me Adam, isnt Jennifer Lynn Lopez the right one to be mother of my children?"
Harry is mad but still so cute.
Damn my feels, I can feel the tears roll down my face.
