I hesitantly entered my fathers office with Xavier just behind me. I was met with a knowing smirk from my brother and father, my father had probably mindlinked one of the pack members to check up on us, making sure we didn't kill each other. Which he then told Damien and Jonathon. Jonathon looked confused to say the least.

"Alpha, Alpha, Alpha" I nodded to each of them.

For the second time in a week, Jonathon's jaw dropped.

"H-h-h-how?" he stuttered

"This is my mate. Beta Xavier from the Uisce Beatha pack. What is this meeting about?" I explained getting straight down to business.

"Well Gabriella. Our pack is being threatened by a portion of rogues and various individuals from other packs who want the weak links of a pack killed. They want to create a strong, pure race." My father started.

"I've had Xavier go undercover and join the group. Our inside man. Just to keep an eye on things. They were recruiting overseas, convincing a few of my own pack members to leave the homeland and join his quest. Xaviers' latest report is the reason I am so far from home." Damien continued.

"That's why I saw him the other day! But why the evil eyes? So what exactly are they planning. How could they possibly take down the soon to be alpha of the strongest pack in America? Are they going to destroy the whole pack?"

"They haven't gone into details of the whole plan. Each group of us has a part but almost no one knows the complete plan from start to end. My job is to somehow become close to you through Damien. And to bring you, dead or alive to the Rebel King." Xavier explained looking into my eyes.

"And what of the Rouge King? Who is tasked to kill him?" I replied steadily looking back into my mates eyes.

"The Rebel King has declared only he can be the one to kill you."

"Is the Rebel King my brother by any chance?" Jonathon asked resigned.

"Yes."

We all sat in silence for a few moments. Re-organizing our thoughts. Specifically, I was already thinking of a plan to finish this Rebel pack. There was one unknown variable.

"Alpha Jonathon. I think its time to tell us your story." I announced looking him dead in the eyes an unspoken threat in my eyes. He took a very deep breath and began his story.

I was once part of a normal pack. My father the alpha. My brother and I good friends. Inseparable. Twin boys were not the best firstborns an alpha can have. It was getting closer and closer to our 18th birthday. One day my father took both of us into his office. He told us that only one could become alpha. The other would become beta. Since I was the firstborn, the Alpha title would automatically pass to me. My brother was enraged. We were equal. Why couldn't we both be alpha? We started to drift apart. Jealousy and rage consumed my brother, though he always hid it from our father.

A week before the ceremony, I ran away.I couldn't stand to take something that should have been fairly fought for and earned. I became a rogue. My brother, though saddened that I had left, was happy. He could finally be alpha. The rage and jealousy that once consumed him, disappeared. My father however became depressed. Blamed my brother for me leaving. He started drinking and started hitting my brother. Disowning him, kicking him out of the pack. My brother has never forgiven me.

That left our pack vulnerable. The rogues attacked. I thought my brother died in the attack. What I didn't know was that he had found his mate. They had marked each other but hadn't fully mated. She was killed. My brother blames me also for her death. I thought everyone had died. So I attacked their king and killed him. That's how I took the King of the Rogues title. I think my brothers been plotting his revenge ever since then. That's why he's attacking those he sees as 'weak'. Our father was weak and it destroyed the pack. No weak links means no weak packs, a pure race.

This was going to be interesting.
