Home Sweet Home

"Please prepare for landing," the speakers blared out, awakening me from my sleep. Are we really already there?  I thought to myself. Could my dreams already be coming true so fast?  My headphones were still in my ears, well at least one of them was. The other fell out of my ear and onto my lap. They were still playing music, actually they were playing my favorite song. I stared out the window as we were landing, humming along to the tune.

Boom, the plane hit the ground. Personally my favorite part of the flight. I sent Shayne a text that my plane had landed and he had better get his ass over to the exit. When the plane got to a halt I stood up, finally being able to stretch, giving a sense of relief over my body. After a while it got to my turn to get out of the plane. I reached over my head to grab my suitcase, then started to head out with my it rolling right behind me.

I walked down the packed airport, bumping into people every here and there. People were either running to get to their flight, or literally just sleeping on the chairs. Some were even sitting on the floor charging their phones. I eventually got to the baggage carousel, watching the suitcases go round and round, seeing some funny looking ones until it finally got to mine. I picked it up, and started to roll it down to the exit.

I tried to look over the heads of the hundreds of people in front of me, looking for the blonde boy. I could barely move because there were so many people in front of me, but I eventually got to the front. I looked to the left, no, not there. I looked to the right, nope.

"Hey dummy, look over here!" I heard a deep voice shout in front of me. There stood Shayne with a big poster that said 'Welcome home from prison, y/n!' It was complete with a picture of me behind bars. Ugh, of course Shayne was planning some shit like this...but I was too happy to be pissed right now. He would get his punishment later...

I ran toward him, let go of my suitcase, and jumped into his arms. He swung me around, then set me down. His face beamed with the widest smile I have ever seen on his face. His hair was a little shorter than it was before he left and he was A LOT buffer.

"Damn, someone's been working out!" I said.

"Yeah, and you lost all your baby fat," he said in a mocking tone, pinching my cheeks. I swatted his hands away and we started to walk out of the airport.

"So, how's Smosh?" I asked. I didn't really watch Shayne's videos on youtube since it kinda made me feel like I was intruding on my own brother.

"Well, you know about the whole defy thing that went down," I nodded my head, "well since then, Good Mythical Morning bought us-"

"Oh, I love Good Mythical Morning!" I interrupted "I used to be so obsessed with them when I was younger!"

"Oh yeah, trust me. I remember," he said. We hopped into his car and started to drive through the California traffic. Turns out Shayne can be sort of an angry driver. He even yelled at this man biking. Eventually we made it to the highway and everything was much calmer. I stared out the window looking at all of the stores and restaurants that LA had and my hometown didn't, fangirling slightly.

On the way home we chatted, telling each other about everything we missed in the other's life. He told me about his friends, who seemed really cool. I told him about my best friend back at home, who I kinda missed already. But they promised me that they would try and visit as often as possible, and I did the same. All of a sudden, Shayne asked me a question that I really was hoping he wouldn't.

"So uh, how's Tony?" He said.

"I uh, I really don't want to talk about Tony right now..." I rubbed my t-zone slightly, not wanting to think about him.

"Oh...so it didn't end well?" he said, his voice sounding kind of sorry.

"Um, can you please change the subject?"

"Oh uhhh, o-okay...I'm sorry y/n, I didn't realize-"

"It's fine," I interrupted. He glanced at me slightly. I could see awkward he felt from my peripherals. And trust me, I felt that awkward feeling feeling too.

But Shayne somehow managed to turn that uncomfortable atmosphere right back into that happy one we had moments before. He always could do that, yet I'm not sure how. He could also somehow always figure out what was wrong and immediately make me feel better. He truly is the best brother ever.

Soon we made it to Shayne's apartment complex, which was now also partially mine as well. We got out of the car and walked to his door which he unlocked with a smooth motion. I walked in and immediately noticed the whole place smelled really good. There was a nice living room to the right with a big TV and a couple gaming consoles hooked up. Hell yes, I thought to myself. I can finally wreck his ass in Mario Kart again. Then there was a nice breakfast bar area and right behind that a kitchen. There was a hallway next to that which led behind the kitchen and to a bathroom, a master bedroom, and a guest bedroom, which I assumed was mine. I walked in and it was pretty empty, except for boxes of my stuff that I had mailed myself. Well, it's already 12:00. I might as well start unpacking now if I want to sleep on a bed tonight.

A/N: Hey Guys! Hope you liked this new chapter. I tried to make it as good as possible cause airports and unpacking really aren't that fun. I'm already working on the next chapter for you guys and it will probably be out in the next couple hours. Just saying, some things are gonna go down, so you might want to read that one if you're thinking of clicking off ;)

Love you guys!
