[The Broken Bridge Harbour]
The waves lapped lightly at the shore, the delightful smell of sea salt filling your nose. Your day was starting off great, as you had managed to get out of the research facility you worked for just before your oh so lovely boss got there. You shuttered at the thought of your boss yelling at you again, his threats tingling your spine in terror. You sighed softly, the calming splash of the waves running over your thoughts, cleansing your mind of all the annoying, self belittling, and work thoughts that plagued your mind. That was, until you heard strange cursing and splashing noises.
"What in the world.." You didn't think much of it, until you realized it could be someone drowning. You ran down from the dock, being careful not to step on some of the rotten planks. You quickly slid down as you ran to where you thought the drowning person was. You looked around frantically; you didn't want someone to die because you didn't get there quickly enough. You managed to get close to hear grunting and what sounded like.. a fish's tail hitting the water? You were confused, but you didn't think much of it until you saw what you had thought was a drowning person.
This person had the lower half of a shark.
You stared in disbelief, this man had a tail. You pressed a hand against your forehead and you thought of what to do. He struggled against what you thought was a newer looking fishing net, one you normally saw on long voyaging fishing boats that stayed out in open waters. How had he managed to get all of the way to the shore? You shook your head and quickly but hesitantly approached him, careful not to scare him or make him hostile towards you. You slowly pulled out your pocket knife, which you only used for self defense and such. He had noticed you during his struggle, and now he laid there, his oceanic coloured eyes wary of you and your knife.
"It's okay, I'm not gonna hurt you.." You kept your voice soft and in a calming tone, though it was more to calm yourself down. He stared coldly, baring his incredibly sharp teeth at you while he splayed his fins out, you assumed as a way to intimidate you. You kept your steady advancement towards him cautiously; shark teeth as sharp as his could probably bite through bone, so you weren't taking any chances. You warily reached for the net, watching his every movement. Even if he did appear human, he acted like an animal and if you happened to provoke him, you would probably experience pain beyond belief.
"Don't move, or I'll accidentally cut you.." You murmured to him, though you doubted he actually understood you. You held the net in your hand as you cut your knife through. It took you a few tries, but eventually you were making progress in freeing him. You created a decently sized gap in the net, enough to allow him to get out without getting hurt. You started to back away, but you were a hair too late as he flung himself on top of you, making you topple and almost be crushed by this brute. He stared down at you, his piercing gaze was enough to instill fear in your heart. He leaned down and open his mouth to reveal his teeth; they were going to cut you to shreds. That alone made you pass out from fear, which stopped the male from ultimately eating you.
'What is wrong with this creature with two sticks?" Jotaro thought to himself while he stared down at you. He poked you with a clawed finger, you didn't move but you were breathing at least. He studied you for a moment, you were strange to him, something he had only seen from afar but up close.. You were different from the stories his clan told of the human race. Normally, they said humans like you were leave their kind to rot or cage, yet you tried to set him free. He found it odd really, but he didn't dwell on it. He liked your face, you had nice features to him. He wanted to keep studying you, but he knew he had to leave, or else you would make others of your kind trap him. He leaned down and bit down on your arm, leaving a clear, shark-like bite on your right arm, to remind you of this encounter. He then slowly but surely pulled himself off of you, leaving your clothes damp from his skin. He gave you one last glance before pulling himself into the water and swimming away.
