Setting: 9:52 pm Finn Wolfhard and Y/n L/n wedding reception

Finn POV

I held my self written speech in my hands as Nick, my brother, my best man, gave me the microphone. "Now, to the luckiest man in the world, my brother Finn. Congratulations brother." He handed me the microphone as I thanked him. I stood from my chair and proceeded to the crowd.

"Tonight, is the best night of my life.  Tonight starts a new life, an amazing life with my love Y/n L/n. She is the most beautiful woman I ever laid eyes on...sorry mom."
The crowd laughed.
"I have a story to share. This story is about the day I met the love of my life."

"It was a warm autumn day,"

Flashback

Y/n gotten in a bad fight with her father, so she gathered her phone, earbuds, and her book, and headed down to the bridge she loved. There were plenty of other bridges in her home town, but this one was the prettiest, the most calming.

She sat down my the rail, and played her music, and opened her book.

A sudden crash was felt on her leg. She looked to see a skateboard, followed by a young, curly headed boy.
"Jesus I'm sorry." The boy said.
"No problem." She responded

The boy sat down to look at the beautiful girl in front of him.
"Whatcha reading?" He asked.
The girl pointed the book to the boy and said; "it's called The Apple Tart of Hope."
"Is it good?" The boy questioned
"Yeah. I only started it yesterday so I'm not that far into it, but it's good."
He nodded. "What's it about?"  He asked.
"It's about this Girl names Meg, and her friend Oscar goes missing, and she has to find out how he went missing and stuff."

"Then why is it called Apple tart?" He asked. "Because Oscar made Apple tarts for sad people to make them feel better. Now I'm not spoiling the rest so you will have to read it."

The boy scoffed. "Whatcha listening to?"

"Too good for goodbyes, bye Sam Smith. It's almost done though." She replied.
"Mind if I listen?" He asked. "Nope."

The two now sat knee to knee of the concrete bridge.
The boy noticed the next song playing. "The Beatles?" He asked. "Yeah. I know I'm an oldies freak." She laughed. "I listen to them too. You're not alone." The girl smiled at the boys comment.

After a few minutes the boy asked.
"So, why are you here?"
"Why are you here?" She asked back.
"I was skating. As it looks, then I ran into you. So tell me. Why did you stop here?"
"I don't even know your name and you want to know what I'm here for."
The boy held out his hand.
"I'm Finn."
The girl looked at the boys hand and took it into a shake.
"I'm y/n.  I got in a fight with my dad. So I come here to get away from the tension."
"Damn. I'm sorry." He sighed.
The girl shrugged. "It's fine."

"Mind if I read too?" Finn asked.
"How can you read a book two people at a time?" She asked.
"I don't know. We can figure it out together." Finn stated. She smiled.

End of flashback

"From that day we exchanged numbers and kept in touch."

Finn took his newly wedded wife's hand and held it. "That was the best decision to make. To talk to you. To sit and listen to the music and river flowing at the same time, to rest my head on your shoulder and take in the most comforting scent, and to read that stupid book you obsessed over for weeks with you."

I wiped a tear from her cheek. "I love you, Mrs. Y/n L/n Wolfhard. And I will love you for the rest of my life."

"I also have a gift to my wife"
I pulled out a small box, and gave it to her.
I watched as she unwrapped it, opened the box and pulled out a book.

"It was the book from the day we met. I thought I would never find it again but I did."

She engulfed me in a hug as I kissed her forehead.

"Thank you."

Everyone applauded the story.

This will be the best life ever with her.
