Sister fight

"¿Qué hiciste?" Lizzie yells
"Nada!" Lita says back
"Dije, qué hiciste, mocosa!"
"Escuchen!"
Lizzie grabs Lita's arm
"That's it! Go to your room! Also you're not gonna get dinner tonight!" Lizzie screams
"I don't got to listen to you anymore!" Lita screams back and sticks out her tongue. This makes Lizzie even more frustrated which causes Ellie to break the sibling fight up.
"What in the world is going on?"
"Lita stole my mascara! It's all over her face and the walls! Look!" Lizzie points to the once white walls. This makes Ellie cringe, but she focuses back on her kids. The two girls still bicker in Spanish.
"Ok, listen!" Ellie raises her voice and both kids freeze.
"Lizzie let go of Lita, now." Ellie says sternly. Lizzie gives a confused look, but decides to listen.
"Ok fine, you handle it Ellie!" Lizzie marches over to the side lines with her arms crossed.
"Lita honey, Lizzie never takes your things, right? So you should give the respect back and not take her stuff. That's her makeup which isn't to play with. You know if you need more drawing supplies you can ask me or daddy. You promise to not steal from your big sister?" Ellie says
"I promise." Lita says while looking down
"Lita I want you to look at me and I want you to apologize to Lizzie." Ellie says firmly. Lita looks up at Ellie and nods. Lizzie in the corner is so confused on how Lita listens and obeys Ellie and not her. The change is a shock. Suddenly Lizzie is becoming less of the mother figure to what she is to Lita. A sister.
"I'm sorry." Lita looks up at Lizzie
"Lizzie, you say?" Ellie hints
"Thanks, but just don't touch my stuff." Lizzie snaps
"Ok well. I also want to add that we don't starve people here." Ellie gives a look at Lizzie
"Let's clean this up too."
Ellie helps Lita take the make up off her face and Lizzie scrubs the walls. She rethinks about the fight. Lita isn't responding to her Spanish, which was her old way of handling situations in foster homes. She also doesn't listen to Lizzie much anymore, she mainly takes orders from Pete or Ellie. Frustrated that Lizzie is losing control she also appreciates being just her sister now.
"Hey Liz, so later, do you want to get a new mascara?" Ellie suggests
"Oh uh yeah, sure." The two smile at each other.
