No Greater Love

For the first time since the great war, their was no smiles or cheerfulness in the Devil Faction.

In the near month of the aftermath of their betrayal of Naruto, was filled with loathe, self hate, heartbreak and many others.

Grayfia went into a bad depression, barely able to function, she cried all the time, missing the boy who stole her heart, she wanted her son back.

Millica also felt her sadness, she wanted her big brother, she missed playing with him.

The girls chose to remain in his peerage, keeping their pieces, they wanted their king back and come hell or highwater were gonna bring him back.

The leaders of the factions had made it their priority to find and apologize to him, after everything he did. They made a treaty and went personally to the Yokai Faction For the simple reason the Heroes broke theirs and had attacked members of the Devil and Fallen.

Yasaka was over the Moon by this, Naruto had kept his promise, unaware of what had happened behind the scenes and he didn't want to burden the Queen and new Mother, she thanked them and asked when they saw Naruto to thank him as well. They owed it to him, and kept good on that part. They had made a terrible mistake and were gonna fix it, but now the trick was to find the one who made this all happen.

We find out favorite Hanyou, up in the mountains of the human world, in solitude. He sat in an open field trying out meditating, trying calm his inner self but just had a hard time doing so, everything he had worked so hard to build here was crashing down and the heartbreak hurt beyond what words could say, so concentration was hard.

At the same time Rias and Sona had made it their mission to look for him in the human world along with his peerage, they needed him back, while Grayfia forgave her husband and friends, she was still upset by their actions and so were Rias and Sona we seem them in the mountains on a hunch.

"Okay every one spread out, if he here we will know soon," Rias said.

They all nodded and got to work specially Koneko, Gasper, Mellti, Momo and his girls.

Naruto knew they were here but just didn't care at the moment, he felt like such a failure, no matter how hard he tried..nothing good ever came of it and he just wanted to give up.

He pulled out the last picture he took with his family, he had just turned 16, Lei was at his side holding their son while he held their daughter, all big smiles as they had turned two, he smiled behind his face mask and began to tear up tracing their faces with his finger.

"I'm sorry i'm such a failure, i wish it had been me instead of you!" he said softly with a cracked voice.

The nightmares had returned so he wasn't getting much sleep any more and without much of an appetite  exhaustion had taken it's toll after being up for nearly two weeks straight and he passed out against the tree.

Koneko and Kuroka found his scent and raced to him, finding him under a tree not 20 yards away, they gasped in both happiness and shock.

They had finally found him but he looked bad, with deep backs under his eyes and his tear stained cheeks broke their hearts.

Kuroka flared her power to signal the others who soon appeared and saw their target and the shape he was in.

Checking his vitals and other things, Rias sent her familiar to tell her brother and the others.

"We need to get him, home! Other wise we might lose him," Akeno said going into nurse mode.

They nodded and got a stretcher and got him on it, as he began to moan out a bit but he was delirious and now had a fever so Rossweiss, Isabela, Koneko and Tsubari all pick up a side and the began getting him down the hill.
