Samantha and Christopher had been in Ireland for a couple of days now. Sam loved it. Chris had more time with her too, so she was soaking up all the attention, both of the sweet cuddly sorts and the more intimate of affections. It was fun and very relaxing for the two of them. Christopher still had meetings to attend, though it was still more laid back of a trip than he had anticipated, he wasn't complaining, however. He couldn't have asked for a better, smoother comeback home than this one. Other than the one run-in with Caleb and his little outburst, everything else has been calm.

It was midnight now. At the moment the house was dimmed and everyone was asleep. Well, almost everyone. Sam had woken up and sat up in bed. Unable to go back to sleep she decided to grab a midnight snack from the kitchen. It wasn't far from her and Chris's room. Just a right turn out of the bedroom and down the stairs to the right. So, as quietly as she could, Samantha got out of bed. Christopher only shifting in his sleep, seemingly none the wiser that Sam had even gotten up.

Upon entering the kitchen, the blonde instantly went for her favorite snack of the hour. Chocolate chip cookies and warm milk. This filling snack usually helps her go back to sleep. It was the grub of choice during those sleepless nights, for this reason she always keeps milk in her fridge and chocolate chip cookies on her counter back at home. Luckily for her this kitchen has that in stock too.

Samantha grabbed a small handful of cookies and poured her milk in a glass cup, which she then stuck in the microwave for a minute. "Can't sleep either, huh?" A voice spoke from the doorway behind her. The sudden presence nearly causing her to jump right out of her skin. Sam turned around to see who it was only to see Caleb. She huffed a sigh. 'Great.' She thought. "No. I woke up and couldn't fall back asleep. Why are you up?" asked Samantha. Caleb simply offered up a mere shrug of the shoulders as a response. Sam paid no mind, instead, she grabbed her milk that was now done and her cookies and sitting at the island in the middle of the kitchen.
It was quiet for a couple of minutes before Caleb decided to say something else. "You heat your milk?" He questioned as if it was the weirdest thing he had seen someone do before. Sam looked at him briefly with a "well duh" expression. "Yeah it makes the cookies warm and helps me go back to sleep easier. Why? Is there something wrong about me doing it?" She responded, taking another bite of her now second cookie out of the four she had. "No, just never seen someone do it. It's odd." - "Well I like it and it works so can I eat my snack in peace?" Sam retorted back, her tiredness turning into impatience towards the small talk Caleb was trying to keep going, none of which Samantha wanted to continue. Caleb just threw his hands up in defense and got what he came to the kitchen for and sat at the island himself.

"Having fun you two?" Samantha looked up to see Christopher walking in. He was shirtless, of course. Seeing his well-built bod made Sam blush every time. Caleb noticed and gave a little chuckle as if it was funny. "Owe!" Caleb winced, Chris having given him a quick smack to the back of his head. "What the fuck was that for?" He growled. "Nothing I just wanted to." Chris said, his little brother rubbing the back of his head.

Christopher's attention turned its way to Samantha now. "And what are you doing up young lady? You should be in bed." He questioned her sternly. She looked down. "I couldn't sleep so I got up to get a snack.." Her voice was calm and quiet in her answer. Chris came over to her and ran his hand through her hair. "Okay, finish up then, and let's go back to bed." Sam smiled in agreement as she ate her last cookie and drank what was left of her milk. Even though Caleb was in the room she held her arms out for Chris to pick her up, which he gladly did. Caleb gave a look but said nothing.

Christopher carried the now sleepy Samantha back up to their room. Upon entering the room, he shut and locked the door, laying Sam down on the bed before covering her up, then he too got back in bed. Pulling her close to him he could feel her shallow, even breaths that told him she was off in dreamland. He smiled to himself, kissing her on the cheek before drifting back off along with her.

That morning Sam woke up before Chris did. The fact that he wasn't up and the sun was already shining told her that he must have an off day today because he is usually up before dawn or right at dawn.
