Derek's POV

I heard her whimper once more and she went limp in my arms.

"Is she ok?', I asked her friends trying to not to let the fear show.

"She'll be fine. Oliver and her have a very strong bond being twins and their dad being the alpha. When one is in pain the other feels it, and if it's really bad they black out from the pain. It'll be awhile, but she'll wake up.", her friend, Kris, informed me.

I held her tighter. Her dad came back over to us and waved for me to follow with her. I carried her bridal style as I followed him. He opened the door to their house and pointed up the stairs. I took her up and found her bedroom. Her room was pretty big and really blue. That both surprised me and made me happy because my eyes were blue.

Her eyes were a beautiful shade of blue as well, her hair was this gorgeous strawberry-blonde color, her body was great and had a great figure, her lips were plush and a beautiful pink color. I laid her on her bed and debated on laying down with her. I turned to go and heard her whimper as she grabbed my hand.

"Don't leave me.", she whispered.

I looked back at her. Her eyes were still closed, but she had a pleading look on her face.

"I won't leave you my love. I'd never leave you.", I whispered.

I went back to her bed, climbed over her, crawled under the sheets, wrapped my arms around her, and laid there with her. She went back to sleep. I buried my face in her hair and fell asleep with her.

A few hours later I woke up to a growl and a whimper. Christie was pushed against me in fear, looking up I see there was a wolf in the doorway, which I recognized as my father. He was scaring my mate. I climbed over her and shifted to my black wolf.

"Son, what are you doing here?", he growled.

"Father, that's my mate you're growling at and you're scaring her!", I growled back.

"She can't be you're mate.", he muttered, surprised and taken aback.

"She is. Why does everyone keep saying that?", I exclaim, frustrated.

"Ask her to show you her neck. That's where her pack symbol is.", he sighed with a slight growl.

I looked at Christie, who had the bed sheets pulled up to her chin. I shifted back and threw on the shorts my dad tossed me.

"Christie, sweetie, may I see your pack symbol?", I asked.

She whimpered, but moved her hair and revealed her neck. I saw where I wanted to mark her. I stepped toward her and saw her pack's symbol just below and slightly behind her right ear lobe.

"No. This can't be...", I was shocked and scared about how it would affect us.

She looked away from me. Probably thinking I was going to leave her. I looked at my dad, now in his human form. He still looked mad, but he also had a look of sorrow.

"I'm sorry son. I don't know what to do. Her father hates me and blames our pack for something that happened to a female pup from this pack.", he sighed and ran his hand down his face.

"But it was rouges, I tried telling him they were the ones who hurt me and y'all showed up in time to save my life! He would never listen to me though.", Christie spoke up and looked at her lap, fiddling with the blankets.

"It was you?", I exclaimed, shaking as I reached for her hand.

"Yes. I was the pup that you two and your hunters saved that day.", she replied, taking my hand.

I looked at my dad, who had shock written all over his face.

"You were the little pup who has fur like no other?", he exclaimed, sounding as shocked as I feel.

She nodded as she pulled her hand from mine and shifted. She laid her head in my lap, a small whimper coming from her. I laid my hand on her head. Her fur was so soft.

"Dad. We have to do something. Fix it or something. She's my mate!", I fought back the tears and hid the fear from my voice, to avoid looking weak in front of my father.

"I've tried son. There's nothing we can do. I'm...", he was cut off by a deep growl from Christie as she went to her closet.

She came out in her human form, wearing a blue sundress and a pissed expression. She grabbed my hand and waved at my dad to follow. We went to a closed door and she threw it open. Her dad sat at his desk and looked up surprised.

"Honey what's... Why is he here?", he growled, slamming his hands on his desk and pushed himself up so he was standing.

"Sit down daddy. You're going to listen to me this time.", she growled back. He looked at her confused and angry.

"Christie. I've told you....", he started with a sigh.

"No daddy. These two and their hunters saved my life all those years ago. Rouges were the ones who hurt me. This man you accuse of doing something he didn't but stopped so I wouldn't be killed, is the father of my mate. These two men are the reason I'm still alive, besides Oliver being able to feel my pain, as well as me feeling his. Derek and I were too young to know we were mates. My wolf told me that he and I would meet again, but I never knew when. When I saw him at the pool earlier, before he shifted back to his human form, I knew he was my hero. My prince. My knight in shining armor, I knew he was the one who stood over me and kept me awake long enough for y'all to get to me with the pack doctor. Daddy my mate and his father saved me. They didn't cause the pain I was in for months, They aren't the ones who put me in the hospital leaving us to wonder if I was gonna die or be able to walk ever again for that matter. Daddy please stop being so childish and pig headed and apologize to him for not believing him.", she stood her ground, telling her dad what had actually happened that day.

"I'm sorry Henry. I should have listened and trusted you.", her father sighed, looking between all of us, and shook his head, ashamed of himself.

"Sean, it's ok. I would have felt the same way if I were in your shoes. The rouges retreated before you showed up so all you saw were eight grown wolves, a pup, and your daughter who was fighting for her life.", my dad sounded so understanding. Which he should, three years later I was also attacked by rouges.

Christie grabbed my hand and we left the room. She sighed with a smile, as she closed the door, leaving the two alphas (our fathers) to talk.
