Did you know? a 1 minute kiss burns 26 calories

And yet everything wasn't. Neither fine or perfect, I mean.
Not even news of Hanna's arrival could make me forget about Miss Lowes. Her criticism of my evaluation had made me doubt for a second of my abilities. She had called me rigid, I mean what part of me was like that?!
I couldn't get over the fact that Felix scored better than me! I mean, in what world does a guy who is always late, has no discipline whatsoever and has philandered his way in life ever since high school.
He ruined everything. Every class, he's there. Every project, he's there! The only solace I have is that when I get to college I'll finally be rid of him.
On that note, I decided to put aside all these upsetting thoughts and headed to the library and work on my graduation project. Stepping into the five-storied building I automatically walked towards the computer laboratory. It should be noted that I had really tried to please my parents as much as I could and put aside the whole hacking incident behind but watching the empty computer I couldn't help but think about Art. He may have been a "troubled" child when we first met but he was the one person that understood what it was like to be different... and disappoint the people around you.
As I reminisced about old times I felt a hand on my shoulder and jumped in surprise. It took a second to realize it was Elizabeth. She stood behind me with an awkward smile and eyes fixed on her feet. I stared back too, sizing her up. I said, "Do you know me?"
"You're the infamous scholarship girl who punched Vicky, right?" she said with a sweet smile.
I lowered my chin a fraction, as I always did when I was feeling defensive. Somehow her tone made the incident sound like an aggravated assault than a simple act of self defence-Which was for the record, well justified!
I mean it was just a very light prod in between her eyebrows. It's not like I wanted to break her nose... how was I supposed to know it was plastic?
"So?" I said with crossed arms, "Are you her lawyer or what?
"Uh...what? No, I was just-" Elizabeth's blue eyes started to water. I mean, seriously? Did I look like the type who punches girls for fun?
Oh geez. I probably did.
"Forgive my friend!" Greta, the tall girl I met at the principal's office, literally ran to her friend's rescue. "Elizabeth is just practicing her communication skills! you know because she is so shy and all. The principal told her to talk more. So yeah... You're not angry with her are you? Because it was totally my fault that she-"
"Uh, Greta? Aren't you suppose to talk less?" Elizabeth chuckled,
"Right!" Greta covered her mouth with a hand. "I am so sorry, we haven't even introduced ourselves. I am Greta and she is my friend Elizabeth!" She stuck out a milky-white hand, the nails of which were painted a bold blue pastel layered under glitters.
Greta had been in earnest when she'd informed that Elizabeth was a scholarship too. She-I noticed-apart from being a silver tongue devil, had an extremely serious work ethic. Practically the first thing she asked me-after she introduced herself-was if I'd be interested in writing a piece for her website.
"Nothing fancy." She said airily.
"Maybe just an essay comparing Public school and Private school teen culture. I'm sure you must see a lot of differences between us and your friends back in your old school. Whaddaya say? My readers would be plenty interested-especially girls like Victoria and Sahara. Maybe you could slip up something about preppy girls and the faux pas of nose jobs!"
