I gulped as listened silently with my patches and bandages burning. Above my eyebrow, on the bridge of nose and side jawline were covered with bandages. I felt torn apart and sharp needle-like pain tingled my nerves as Taeyung tried to heal it.
'You shouldn't have messed up with him', Taeyung whispered in my ear.
I know I shouldn't have messed up with Mr. sharp claw but who knew be would literally bifurcate my face with just a claw.
'I need not any information from you guys', the owl said.
'So, can you please tell us about the book One thousand Night', asked Jennie while leaning a bit and palms placed on his knees.
'It's on the 151st floor of this building, on section D, row 4, block VIII', said the owl and just as he closed his beak and I ran upstair the stairs.
Taeyung and Jennie tried to stop me with a shout but I glanced at them and said joyously, 'The one coming down last will be the donkey' and jumped off the stair.
It was spiral and coiled due to the cylindrical shape of the building. I have never seen such an immense collection of books, each book looked polished with vax and names of the greatest author. The ladder was fog black and thinly are of metal, meaning banging with my every step. It also had floral cuts and beautifully designed textures in the empty spaces which I dared not look at. I was enough high to get unconscious just by looking down. Yet, I ran up looking outside to every window I came across. The window just like the gate was hollow and with every next window, our distance from the ground increased.
I wonder how far behind are Tae and Jennie. They would have gone tired and are just lagging behind. What a waste, who is the actual wizard here, then?
Burning up the fuel inside me, my steps wouldn't stop. After some time though I felt my legs were already producing lactic acid. I gasped as I reached by the window. What I saw was surely not expected to.
Taeyung! Jennie! Outside grinning at me and waving their hands! My jaw dropped seeing them ride a hot air balloon.
'Take me with you', I shouted out for them but they already drifted high by the winds.
'See you there', Taeyung shouted outback. Should I be happy that I got a response or sad that they didn't carry me along with them? Or grave me for running up without even listening to them.
An hour later, I burned up all the fuel and no ATP were to be produced inside my body. Finally, after crawling on the last stair I reached on the 151st floor of this palace.
Taeyung and Jennie were waiting on the rounded floor with water blue and sunrise coloured tiles.
'You finally made it', Taeyung reached out was me but my body was as good as limped noddle or a cat you're trying to hold. He grabbed me from my chest and pulled me up. My legs were senseless as he dragged me near a statue. I wasn't sure what it was though since Taeyung turned my side quickly towards the bookshelves. It had a golden colour with same textures on is all I can recall. But not that is important against the book we seek for.
I scanned all the bookshelves and tried to locate the book. Floor 151st, section D, row 4, block VIII. Gladly, my eyes took no time to catch the space. I found the exact location of the book and just as I glared it with a smile, it was to be faded.
Remember, I said I catch a space, and I actually caught nothing but empty space. The book wasn't there. My eyes were all fatigue just by looking at the sight.
'Where is the book?', I asked with a numb tone.
'We don't know, we were waiting for you to return and return down again', said Jennie but her words weren't soothing to my ears. My eyes wanted to tear out so badly that they almost went wet.
