The summer air attacked the young girls face, the freshness of the area was a nice touch to her daily life. Y/N sighed, as she happily hopped down the admin building steps. Other than the sounds of the trees rustling, there was the sound of fabric squishing underneath flesh, from the trainers the girl wore.

With each squishing step she took, it took her closer to her closest friend of the Ericson group; Mitch. Who seemed to be in a world of his own as his head seemed to be looking downwards at his hands.

She approached the sofa, flopping down on it. The male opposite her perked up, his green eyes lighting up when he noticed his female friend. Mitch discarded the items he was once interested in, them now being irrelevant to him. His feet danced side to the side on the floor, a nervous habit he had inherited from a young age.

"You know," Y/N began, throwing her arm up over her face, shielding her eyes from the scorching sun, "In times like these, weather wise. I wish that there was water parks still around".

Mitch chuckled, throwing one of his arms on the sofa arm, "Water parks? Really? What are you? A child?"

"No. I'm a mermaid," Y/N replied cockily at the male, using a mocking voice. She lifted up her feet and kicked them up over the arm, officially sprawled out across the furniture, "But in all honesty, I do miss them, you can't tell me you don't also. I mean, the endless water, the games, the slides. In days like this, my family would take me to the local one in town. Did you ever go?"

Mitch sat in silence for a minute or two. Recalling the memories, which he seemed to repress as the years went on. He didn't like thinking about his past, not because he didn't want to forget about his parents; he never truly held a grudge to them, he didn't know their side of the story. He closed his eyes, the memories flicking in his mind which he shared with his Dad in the garage or the memories he shared with his Mom in the kitchen. But no water parks ever made an appearance.

"To what I remember, no. But I was too busy blowing things up when I was a kid. So I doubt water parks were a priority of mine".

Y/N shifted, now on her side, her hand removed from her face as she looked at Mitch, "I forget that you use to below things up. We really did come from different backgrounds?".

Mitch nodded, "I mean. You came from a family which were too busy always traveling to look after a kid, whereas I came from a family which didn't want a kid blowing shit up. Different backgrounds, same personality".

"I haven't blew anything up, thank you very much" Y/N raised her voice, gaining the attention from Willy who was on watch; the moment he heard her voice, hope sparked in his eyes.

"Oh yeah," Mitch hunched forwards, his arms now sitting on his knees, "Science class. You were all 'I know what i'm doing Mitchell. See i can science'. Then boom. We had to evacuate the room".

Y/N chuckled to herself, the memory was a fond one of hers, the moment the two officially became more than mere acquaintances. "You literally wanted to rip my head off after i called you Mitchell. You were all 'my names Mitch' and blah".

"I see hold some kind of hatred towards you for that". Mitch admitted, smirking.

"It's been what? 7 years or longer. Man. I would give anything to be able to relive them moments. Rewrite the time".
