Hot Dayum

The second I laid eyes on the beautiful apartment before me, I couldn't stop the girlish shriek of excitement from escaping.

This was big.

I don't shriek.

Before Leanna could so much as move a muscle, I was inside, marveling at it's beauty.

I was never one to splurge on myself, almost everything I had I worked my ass off for. So you could imagine my awe when I took in the beautiful beach views before me. I didn't even think this town was near any beaches, it just seemed so remote.

When I finally tore my eyes away from the marvelous windows that lined the entire wall across from the door, I noticed the rest of the house.

The entranceway's floor was lined with slate slabs, it's walls a creamy white colour along with what appeared to be the rest of the house.

To the right of the door was a large closet lined with mirrors. It wasn't an overly large entryway, but it was perfect in my eyes.

Just off the entrance and to the right, there was a kitchen. Nothing large, or extravagant. It just had some cool orange clay tiles as a counter top and white wooden cupboards.

Just off the kitchen was the living room. It just so happened to be the first room you saw when you walked through the front door. In addition, there was a small dining room to the left of the living room. Behind the dining table, on the wall perpendicular to the windows there was a small archway which lead to two bedrooms and a bathroom in between them.

Although the majority of the apartment was carpeted, it still maintained a clean and fresh look.

It was Leanna's words that broke me out of my awe induced haze. "Now we wait for the moving guys." She said, sounding just as excited as I felt.

"What should we do in the meantime?" I asked, hesitant.

The second the words left her lips, I was ready to jump out the window a mere six feet away from me.

"Back to school shopping." She whispered in mock horror.

"Yay...." I responded, suddenly dreading the thought of starting a new again.

I know it's short! I just wanted to get a chapter out. The next one will be longer.
