Amelia and her father sat on the sofa, both of them going through the articles she had printed out. She explained everything to him that Jim had told her. That he thought Hawkins lab was hiding something and she also explained everything that she was thinking. She told him about what the boys were talking about, and this 'Eleven'.
"Look at this," her father said, picking up an article which showed a picture of multiple people. A man seemed to be the odd one out as he was the only one not wearing a hospital gown. She saw the photo before but didn't think much of it. "Look at what they are wearing."
"Hospital gowns?" She questioned, unsure about the relevance.
"What did you say you found at the tunnel yesterday evening?"
"It was a piece of fabric," now she caught on, "that looked like it was from a hospital gown..."
"You said the tunnel led to the Hawkins Lab right?" Amelia nodded. "What if that piece of fabric was from someone trying to get out of the facility not Will going in?"
Amelia mulled over the idea. It made sense, especially with the fact that the man that stood in the photo was in charge of the facility, at least that's what Jim told her. "It would have to be a kid," she thought aloud, "no way an adult would have been able to fit through there."
"Which would make sense why she'd be with the other kids." Her father pointed out. Amelia shook her head and stood up, starting to pace.
"No, this is, no." She couldn't wrap her head around it. "This can't be. The boys said about her having superpowers, that's, that is impossible. This is just their imagination going wild and we're just looking too much into this."
"Didn't one of the articles say about mind control experiments?" Her father brought up, again she wasn't following, she paused and looked at him, waiting for him to continue his point. "Didn't you used to say something about telepathy and telekinesis in your games? They're powers right? It's used with the brain?"
Amelia pinched the bridge of her nose as she started putting all the information together. "So let me get this straight. We think Hawkins Lab is hiding something. The thing they are hiding is that they are experimenting on people, children specifically to try to create..."
"Spies." Her father finished for her.
"Spies?" Amelia sighed, this was getting more and more ridiculous. "Okay, trying to create spies. One of these 'spies' ran away through that tunnel and the three boys found her?"
"Don't forget her powers," her father added. Amelia sat back down and leaned back, her hands over her face.
"Of course. How could I forget that."
Amelia knew the theory was extremely far fetched and she was sure she was losing her mind, but there seemed to be facts for everything. She tried to think of other reasonable theories but all of them somehow seemed less realistic. She leaned forward and looked to her father, her elbows propped up onto her knees.
"How does this have anything to do with Will? And what about that figure thing?" She was starting to get nervous thinking about it all.
"I think that's what we should go find out." Her father stood and grabbed his jacket and car keys.
"What? Now?" Her father nodded.
"We need answers and you said it yourself, we can't tell anyone about this as they think we're crazy."
Amelia sighed and followed her father. "You know, when I said I wanted to have more father-daughter time, this isn't exactly what I meant."
Both of them were quiet in the car, the only sound being from the rustling of papers that Amelia had in her hands. Her eyes scanned over information, both new and old, trying to fully understand it. But the more she read it, the more her stupid theory made sense. With a frustrated sigh, she opened the glove compartment and stuck all of the articles into it, not before something could fall out first though. Her father saw it from the corner of his eyes.
