"Alright class pack all your things please! & don't forget your homework for next week okay!?" Everyone packed away their things and my teacher was just chatting away , finally the pips went and everyone walked out of the classroom happy!
"Oh Keliyon do you wanna go straight to mine? Or we could always go home get change then come back out?" Kenzie asked catching up with me
"Its okay lets just go straight"
"Okay c'mon"
"Lemme say bye to my friends first"
I walked back into the classroom but no-one was in i walked back out and checked the corridors but only me and Kenzie were left behind.
"I think they're gone now"
"Oh okay come!" She linked arms with mine and we started walking out of the school , Kenzie was such a funny girl and i absolutely fell in love with her tomboy style , and the way she spoke like she didn't give 3 fucks about what anyone had to say about her , i loved the way she carried herself i wish i brave like her and didn't care about people thought about me but im not. We turned into a main road, she lived where the white people lived you would never catch a black person there so i was so shocked that she lived in those parts of our ends!
"How comes you live in one of those parts"
"My mum thought it was quiet and she wanted me to get away from the 'hood' lmao" She laughed
"Why are you like a badgirl or something?" I asked cracking up, she turned around and raised an eyebrow
"What so my looks doesn't tell you about myself yet?"
"Well it tells me that you're a tomboy not a bad girl" She smirked
"Well now you know nigga! IM the baddest bitch around ya zeet!"
"Uh yeah!"
I shook my head and we carried on walking , she stopped at her house im guessing and took out her keys , as soon as she opened the door i heard the big heavy foot steps of a dog, the dog came in the hallway barking and jumping on Kenzie i was horrified , i was hiding behind her shitting myself i aint scared of dogs but this was some huge bulldog! Nuh huh! No way was i getting close to this dog! The dog came sniffing me and i screamed making the dog jump on me like it was casual oh my goodness i was frozen in my place this dog was scaring me like shit man!
"Oi Lenny come here! Lenny!" She called out "Lenny" and he went back running to her licking her hands as she carressed him oh my , my heart was beating fast! I couldn't even blink the fear i had right now was emotional!
"LOOL Look at your face Kelly!"
"Oh my days ! Your dog scared me man get him away from me please!" I had tears coming from my eyes , i was traumatised !
"Hahahah Lenny's nice! He won't hurt no-one trust me!"
"I don't care just make sure he stays far AWAY from me!" She burst out laughing, & i straight faced her
"Come gimme your hand" I hesitated at first but gave her my hand , she put hers on top of mine bringing it closer to the dog the way my eyes were closed i was so scared.
"No open your eyes, see Lenny's nice" I slowly opened my eyes and smiled i was carrassing Lenny he was alright after all,, I could feel her stare piercing through me, i slowly turned my head to hears and smiled , she kept on staring at my face and smiling this time i wasn't the one looking like a freak haha. We stopped this little stare competition and both got up , she took the dog's leash & we were out.
She came out the shop and handed me a kinder bueno. We walked around our ends for a bit, i was showing her where i lived , there was for colored people there and what not , we walked around a park waiting on her dog to do what he has to do , and carried on walking about, I showed her the local parks where me and my bestfriends mostly went and jammed to. We saw a bench and sat down.
"Thanks for showing me around"
"Yeah that's fine" her phone started to ring and she answered it. She sounded so pissed talking to whoever she was on the phone to.
"Kmt dumb sket anyway... Aye Kelly do you have a man?" I almost shocked on my chocolate bar who would want to be with me anyway?
"No haha , do you?" I asked
"Ew no fuck boys... & why dont u have a man?" I swallowed hard on the chocolate before replying.
"Um i dunno hm.." She nodded not looking too bothered
"You're pretty though i thought you would of had a man or sutten"
"Oh"
Here comes the awkward silent! How i hated awkward silents , they were just unneeded like what the hell! I checked my watch and stood up quick time shit i did not see the time pass by!
"I have to go now Kenzie."
"Oh won't me to like walk you home?" I shook my head
"No dont want you to get lost on your way back" I politely smiled so it didnt sound like i didn't want her as compagny
"Oh c'mon i have Lenny he could trade back with his sense of his!" She chuckled
"No its fine really :)"
"Alright fair enough"
"Bye!" I quickly said and started to walk ,
"Wait man, come"
She opened her arms , i think she wanted a hug? I wasn't too sure and hugged her back anyway, we hugged for a good 20mins it felt so good! She both seperated from each other and awkwardly smiled , i again awkwardly waved and walked home looking back at her every now and then. Everytime i was close to this girl its like i forgot about all my problems and felt at ease, i still had that strange feeling each time i was near her. But i was happy to make a new friend. I can tell we'll become really close
