(Isa's POV)
Phoenix and I were about to sneak out the window when the door opened. It wasn't Aleksei though. It was one of his men.
Before he even had a chance to register what was happening, Phoenix threw a knife at him. It landed right between his eyes and he dropped dead.
Phoenix ran over, shut the door, and grabbed the guy's phone.
"What are you doing?" I asked.
"Making a phone call." He said rolling his eyes.
He dialed a number and then handed the phone to me."Say hello." Phoenix urged.
"Hello?"
"Isa?"
"Nik?" I asked, tears rolling down my cheeks.
"Thank f*ck. Where are you?"
"I don't know."
"How are you calling me?"
"Uncle Phoenix-"
"Phoenix is with you?!"
"Yeah. Want to talk to him?"
"Yes."
I handed the phone to Phoenix.
"Go for Ghost." He said as he yanked his knife out of the dead man's face. "Uh huh.......that's the address.....five men......an hour.....I got it....don't worry......waffles."
He hung up and I gave him a confused look.
"Waffles?"
He shrugged. "Sometimes it's fun to confuse the hell out of them."
"You're weird."
"Potato tomato. Let's go." He said but then stopped. "One more thing."
He ran out of the room and came back twenty seconds later.
"That could've been bad. Now let's go."
We climbed out the window and snuck along the side of the house. We were surrounded by woods with nowhere to go.
"Where we going now? What's the plan?"
"Haven't thought this far ahead."
"Really? Like seriously?"
He shrugged. "Sometimes I like to wing it."
"My family is so f*cking weird." I muttered to myself.
We ran into the woods and stopped once we were out of sight.
"Wanna see something funny?" Phoenix asked.
"I guess."
He pulled something out of his bag.
"Abracadabra." He whispered before the whole house that we were just in exploded.
"What the hell?!" I exclaimed.
"I forgot I brought some dynamite with me. Planted it in the oven." He said, looking proud of himself.
