"It was so romantic," Crystal goes on. "James lit candles and played slow music, it was all so perfect. I mean, i've only known him for nearly a week but I think I might be in love- Bonnie? Are you even listening to me?" she waves a hand over my face.
"Yeah," I say, tearing my gaze from Harry who sits across the room alone, scanning his eyes over a small piece of paper.
Crystal follows the direction of where my eyes were, her own narrowing. "That boy will always be a mystery to me, don't you agree?"
"More than you think," I say, watching Harry furrow his eyebrows and fold the paper up, only to tuck it into his back pocket after he stands up, swinging his backpack around one of his broad shoulders in one swift move.
I watch him leave while Crystal continues to talk about her millionth date with James.
"I'm sorry, but I just remembered something," I lie so that I can catch up with Harry for the nth time. "I was supposed to turn in a paper to Mr. West during lunch break, and i'm sure he's looking for me right about now."
My best friend gives me a suspicious look, "You want me to come along?"
I shake my head. "No, I think I can do it alone." I decide to make a joke out of it, "I'm a big girl now."
Crystal laughs, "Okay, fine. But i'll finish talking about the date when I see you in the dorms."
"Okay," I smile and wave her off just to catch up with Harry. I'm sure he's just roaming the halls like usual.
Right when I turn into the hallway and I think i'm completely alone, a hand clasps around my wrist, making me turn around.
I frown when I see that it isn't Harry, but the blond boy from the frat party a few nights ago.
"Hi, do you remember me? I'm the boy you were trying to get past at the party! The one who told you about how my ex girlfriend cheated on me with your ex boyfriend," he grins, but it fades due to the memory of his own ex.
I'm surprised he even remembered that, considering he was drunk. Or so I had thought.
"Yes, I remember you." I smile, "Niall, right?"
"For twenty-one years." he smiles back, blue eyes lighting up his face.
I nod, processing the new information of his age. "Nice to see you again, but I can't talk now. I'm looking for someo-"
"Harry, right? You're looking for Harry?"
Giving him a confused look, he shrugs knowingly. "I just figured, since I saw you guys walk home together."
"Oh." How did he see us?
"I saw him in the hallway. He looked kind of angry for some reason, and he almost knocked me over when he was walking by."
Maybe he only 'almost knocked him over' was because Harry claimed to dislike everyone in this Uni anyway.
"Do you know why?" I really need Niall to show me where he saw him because the more i'm hearing about Harry being mad, the more I begin to worry about him.
"No, but he was holding a paper."
It was that paper I saw him reading, I just know it.
"Niall," I pleadingly smile at him. "Could you maybe show me where he is?"
He nods, "Yeah, sure just follow me."
After Niall leads me down the next two hallways, we stop at a men's bathroom.
"I saw him here, but maybe he's inside," he shrugs. "He's kind of weird to be honest."
Niall looks over and notices my look, "No offense." he puts his hands up in defense.
