noen's pov.

i finally landed in california.

not gonna lie, i was pretty excited to see all my friends.

i got an uber that took me to the location that cynthia sent me. she wanted to have a party in honor of me coming to l.a. and just for everyone who was there.

i pulled up, thanked the quiet uber, and walked to the door step.

before i could knock, the door was thrown open and i was hugged by a bunch of people in unison.

third person pov.

charmaine, lydia, and viviana sat on the couch in the living room, eating strawberries and listening to madeline.

madeline explained that the three new guardian angels were undercover 'friends' to the person they were watching.

for a month, the three girls had to watch their person, disguised as just another person.

after this month, the girls would go back into heaven. until they found a permanent person to watch over.

lydia was going to be enrolled in a highschool, as a junior, where she had to watch over a girl named aly.

viviana was a playing the part of a close family friend, to watch over a boy named grayson.

charmaine had to be friends with a girl named cynthia, where she would meet her person, noen.

cynthia was the niece of madeline, she new their 'secret' and had to help play a part of it all.

the girls were given phones, social media, trendy things, to help them fit in more.

lydia would start at highschool, in the morning.

viviana had already left to go to some sort of cookout and meet her boy.

while charmaine texted cynthia, getting to know her better, before she left to the party.

a while passed by before madeline came into charmaine's bedroom.

"someone is going to drive you to the party, you have to go now." she stated.

charmaine stood up, trying to shake the anxiety away.

she left with quiet goodbyes, and got into the car, it quickly began to take her to the destination.

they soon arrived, she anxiously got out of the car and walked towards the front door, texting cynthia she was here.

a short girl opened the door, and quickly pulled charmaine into a hug.

"i'm guessing you're cynthia..." charmaine whispered.

"yes, of course." cynthia said, falling from the hug and meeting charmaine's eyes.

"you're noen's angel, you're too pretty for him." she stated.

charmaine snickered, "i never thought of it he's cute or not."

cynthia walked charmaine out to the backyard, where people sat on the deck and around the pool, watching the sunset.

a couple people looked up at charmaine, as cynthia dragged her down towards the pool.

"cynth!" someone called.

both cynthia and charmaine turned around. cynthia recognized the black haired boy, but charmaine did not.

cynthia embraced the boy in a hug, while charmaine locked eyes with him.

"so, who's this?" he asked.

"oh, this is charmaine, my cousin. she's from colorado." cynthia explained.

charmaine nodded and stuck her hand out to be shaken.

the boy took her hand and smirked, "i'm jaden, pleased to meet you, charmaine."

"okay, no hitting on her, weirdo." cynthia said, grabbing charmaine's hand and pulling her towards the end of the pool where everyone sat.

"guys, this is my cousin, charmaine, she's in town from colorado for a while." cynthia introduced to the group of people.

another boy quickly stood up, walking over to charmaine.

"my names chase," he said, "i'm like really funny."

she giggled at him, before staring at the top of his head.

"where you wearing a cowboy hat?" she asked.

"cause i'm a trendsetter, i'm making cowboys hats the new thing." he stated, pulling on the strings by his head.

charmaine giggled at him once more.

"okay, chaser, don't hog the pretty girl." another boy said.

he walked up to her, "my names payton." he smiled.

she smiled back at him.

a girl sitting on the ground tapped charmaine's ankle.

"i'm madi, this is chris." she smiled.

charmaine smiled back.

she soon met everyone. except her person, at this point, she wondered if he was even coming.

she sat down, poolside, swishing her feet around.

while texting the group chat between her, lydia, and viviana.

she sat alone, until a boy came over and sat next to her.

she hadn't met this boy yet, she didn't even recognize him.

"hey." he smiled.

she looked up and smiled at him, his light brown hair hung in front of his face, as he smiled.

"my name's anthony." he smirked.

"charmaine."

"as i heard...so, you're related to cynthia?"

the night went on as anthony and charmaine made small talk, and began to get to know each other.
