Kuzgun once again, couldn't move at all. The sound of the door closing shocked him. He was feeling helpless, standing still in the middle of the room and refusing the words that he heard a few seconds ago.
"But I never left her" he whispered, unable to understand why Kudret told him that.
"I never left her, do you hear me?" he yelled. For the second time in this room, flashbacks captivated his thoughts."Who is going to protect me from you, Kuzgun?"
"Noone can protect you from me."
"Hayir." he grabbed his head in panic.
"Leave me. Stay away."
"Don't turn me away, lütfen."
"Hayir, olamaz." He wanted to stop. Make the voices stop.
"I have always had faith inside of me that I can heal you."
"I can't heal neither you, nor myself anymore."
"But I got disappointed. Because you're not the boy I trusted."
"Hayir, hayir." Kuzgun run to the door. "Hayir." He started hitting it. "Officer. Officer."
"But what you have done? You killed me. You ruthlessly passed over me, everytime."
"I must find Dila. Officer." His hands were now fists punching the door.
"Do you know how afraid I was of losing you? Becoming like my father."
"Officer. I must find Dila. I must see her."
"I wanted to stay away from this world."
"I will bury Dila in the pit of darkness, she won't be able to get out again."
"DILAAA!" His fists were bleeding but he couldn't care less. He must find Dila and save her and tell her. He must be near her. The door was almost breaking apart when Kuzgun heard the sound of keys from the other side. He took a step back, out of breath and with his chest burning. The door opened and a few men walked in.
"I must get out of here, I must find Dila. Dila Cebeci, benim karim." Kuzgun requested. Noone moved.
"Do you hear me? I must leave, I have to see Dila." He was losing his patience seeing nobody reacting.
"Get out of my way." Kuzgun stormed out but they caught him and started hitting him.
"I have to go to Dila. Bırak. BIRAK." The physical pain was nothing regarding the burn in his chest.
"DILAA!" He was losing his consciousness.
"Dila..."
~
One month has passed since that cursed day. One month without seeing anyone from his people. One month his remorse was leading him to a total emptiness. One month without knowing where Dila is. One month without knowing how Dila is. One month without Dila. Without Dila... Although his thoughts never left him alone, they were punishing him every single second everyday.
His beard has grown, he had lost a lot of weight and his eyes were still hurting from the lack of light.
His soul was gone. The person who was always his fresh air, his breathing, his reason to live was missing. His Dila.
The twenty years away from her were not as difficult as the thirty days in that room. Those twenty years he had learned to live alone and that he didn't need anyone. But Dila made his heart beat again. Dila made him feel loved. Dila made him live. Dila made him breathe. And now his body was hurting. Was hurting from the lack of all these. His was hurting without Dila. Without Dila. One day, thirty days after his imprisonment the door opened. Two men came in, lifted him up and took him out. They went to an office, he signed some papers and they gave him new clothes. He didn't pay attention. Nothing mattered anymore. Kuzgun walked out of the building and the bright light of the sun made him go blind for a while.
"Abi?"
He turned around and saw a familiar face looking at him.
"Cihan?"
"Abi, iyi misin?" Cihan approached him. "I came to pick you up. They informed me."
"Dila nerede?" Kuzgun replied. He was still trying to get used to the light.
"Cihan. Dila nerede?" Kuzgun repeated since Cihan didn't react.
"Abi. Firstly let's go to the office and then we'll talk." Cihan said heading towards a car.
"Cihan bana bak. Ne oldu?" asked Kuzgun unable to understand what was going on. Cihan turned around and looked him. He sighed and took his eyes away to think.
"Cihan." When he finally looked at Kuzgun again, he responded.
"Abi... There is something about Dila that you should know."
