Walking out of class I glanced at Daniel who was complaining about his sore shoulders and how he had learned nothing except how to clean cars and sand down decking "...anyway I'm gonna be there again tonight, you coming?".

Shaking my head in amusement I smirked "No thanks, you have fun doing Mr. Miyagi's chores" I mocked getting a push from Daniel before we parted ways to get to our next classes "Don't forget to tell Ma I won't be home for dinner" my brother called as I waved him off "Yeah, yeah".

Turning the corner, I noticed a figure struggling to open his locker and balance the number of books he was carrying "yeah... okay" I whispered to myself as I walked over to him and grabbed a few books from his pile.

"You know these are for reading and not juggling, right?" I joked sarcastically, but inside I was anxious.

"...Kat" Bobby exhaled as I leaned against his locker, giving off a more confident aura than I actually felt "Hey Bobby" I greeted softly as he finally opened his locker.

Pushing him aside a little, I started to stack his book neatly in his locker as he watched me in shock but continued to pass me each book silently.

Closing the locker door, I handed him the English book I knew he needed before giving him a small smile "You're quiet" I commented as he gave a short laugh taking the book from my hand "Well I did lose my best friend" he explained as I froze in shock.

Bobby and I often joked about being best friends because of my drunken exposé, but it wasn't far from the truth, he was the one I was the closest to, and I never thought that in my loss of them they lost me too "You're right" I whispered biting my lip.

"We all miss you, Kat," Bobby admitted as the two of us stood in the empty hall "Really?" I asked thickly as he nodded quickly "all of us, especially Johnny, don't tell him I said that he'd kill me" we both laughed at his admittance and it felt nice to talk to him again.

"I miss you guys too" I confessed with a soft smile letting my walls down for a second "I can only spend so much time with Daniel before I want to kill him" I joked knowing that while it was partially true it was different than before, it was more positive.

Placing his hand on my arm, Bobby looked at me warmly "Sit with us for lunch; the girls miss you too" pursing my lips I crossed my arms "I'll think about it" Bobby grinned and picked his bag up from the ground "That's all I ask."

Pushing away from his locker I gave him a quick hug as he put his arms around me and pulled me in tighter "I really am sorry for what I did" knowing he was talking about hurting me I just smiled at him "I already forgave you for that, you are my are my best friend after all".

Bobby beamed as I gave him one final grin before walking away to Math class feeling better than I had for a while, but now I had to decide whether I wanted to sit with them for lunch which seemed like a pretty simple decision.

But it wasn't.

If I sat with them, it means that I was going to be friends with them again and continue on as if nothing had ever happened which they would love, as would I, but Daniel might see that as a betrayal.

However if I didn't sit with them, I was missing out on my friends and people I had come to genuinely care about. Daniel had Ali, so it didn't matter to him whether or not I sat with him for lunch, but without the Cobra Kai I had no-one.

:::

Placing my lunch on a tray I paid the lunch lady before walking outside to the seating area, looking left I saw the Cobra Kai all talking to each other animatedly except for Bobby who was watching me.

Biting my lip, I looked over to my right where I saw Ali and Daniel sat close together both with loving grins on their faces, if they got any closer to each other they would merge into one.

Letting out a breath I made my decision walking over to the table "So now I have to go for some dinner with my parents and have no idea whether to wear my green dress or my pink dress."

I placed my tray down in the empty space "Go with the green one it brings out the brown in your eyes" I tell Barbara who watches me with a surprised smile "yeah?".

Nodding I picked up my apple and bit into it as the guys all watched me silently "So what about my hair?" Barb questioned looking between me and Susan, who quickly dived on the question and gave her opinions.

Glancing to my left, I gave Johnny a simple smile as he watched me in shock "Hi" his eyes lit up at my greeting "Hey" he breathed softly as I turned to look at Bobby who just smirked and gave me a subtle wink.

Sitting with my friends I knew I had made the right choice, after listening to them talk for a few moments I interjected myself into their conversations like I had never been gone; it felt so easy, and I felt brighter than ever before.

"Darn I forgot we have to see Coach Sylvester" Barb cried out as she and Susan stood "Kat you should come to try out for the team, I'm sure you'd get on straight away" I grimaced when I heard Dutch snigger "Yeah Kat we'd love to see you shaking those pom-poms".

Giving him a scowl I turned back to Barb who was also glaring at Dutch with contempt before glancing back at me "Think about it" I nodded trying my best not to show my distaste as the two girls walked away.

"Not another word," I growled to the guys as they all smirked at me, Dutch even motioned to zipping his mouth before holding his hands up in surrender.

Noticing Tommy staring distracted, I followed his eyesight and saw he was watching a certain blonde from the hills "no way!" I gasped as he recoiled in shock before pointed at me in warning, "don't you dare."

"No way!" I half screeched as the others watched us confused "really?" I urged as his face became a little redder "What's up" Johnny questioned as he tried to move closer to me subtly.

"Tommy's got a crush" I teased as he made a swipe for me over the table "You're such a little brat" he swore with a laugh sitting back in his chair in defeat.

"On who?" Jimmy implored as he moved his tray over to mine like a gossiping girl, "Come on, Kat!" Tommy called desperately as I continued to laugh.

"What is it against guy code or something?" I questioned as Tommy quickly glanced over at Johnny, who noticed his ashamed look, "What?, who is it?" Tommy gave me a small glare before huffing "It's Mills."

Johnny sat silently while the other guys began to tease Tommy, "Ali?" Johnny questioned as Tommy nodded slowly, "Go for it," Johnny assured him as he continued eating his food casually.

Tommy blinked in surprise, "You serious, it's not gonna be weird for you, man?" Johnny nodded in response, giving me a pointed gaze before turning back to his friend, "I got the girl I need."

Trying not to blush I subtly smiled to myself before looking at the blond "Your mom?" the guys belted out with laughs as Johnny shook his head grinning as he pointed his plastic fork at me "Tommy's right, you are a little brat."
