Bio-Gear Issue #1: Secret Files of the Gear

You ever have one of those dreams that are so vivid that you almost thought you were awake? You know a dream where you couldn't tell which side of the looking glass you were on? Maybe? You ever have something terrible & unimaginable that you hope to God you're dreaming? Yeah...For Keiko Wu it was the latter. She used to have a normal life. Spending most of her childhood in Japan but then later just after her Freshman Year, she was transferred to an American School. And again things were normal for a time.

She had an unusual set of genetics as facial shape was very much Japanese like her mother, but color wise was she was ginger and had green eyes like her father. Something some believed to be impossible. It's rather surprising but there she was and her parents loved her. Everyone liked Keiko, in both schools she was rather popular with lots of friends, had quite a few boys who wanted to date her, she was very smart & was also no slouch with physical activity. She was both a cheerleader & in dance squad, and as precaution when she moved she took up martial arts. She wasn't 100% perfect though, despite being well liked & plentiful friends there quite a few girls who were jealous of her, mostly in America, trying to balance all of her activities & school was challenging for her and find time to have a social life was hard. Plus she was rather embarrassed by the fact that Dad was the typical nerd who wanted to live the Otaku dream of finding a sexy Japanese girl to fall in love with. She did had her one best friend Libby Oliver, a brunette with blue eyes, who she could always talk to.

Of course what she wouldn't give to hear her dad ramble on about some goof ball manga now. Or god help her even Melvin Fraser. This stupid intern blond, green eyed, pretty boy perv who was too old to be hitting on her and too young to be hitting on her mother.

She was sitting the corner of a white room. Trapped in what could best be described a some kind of mad science laboratory with her as a test subject. Though as to it's purpose she couldn't guess. As far as being a prisoner was concerned it could have been a lot worse. Her prison cell had a some privacy for a bathroom the door was metal with some frosted glass and a small window with a slide cover on the door like a mental ward. The bed was not quite to her liking but it served it's purpose well enough to be considered a bed. Food given at certain times was decent. Though she was reluctant at first for fearing it was poisoned or something hazardous to her health. It's had been weeks almost a month since she was captured with no answers as to why.

Only one time was testing done with her. They had stripped and strapped her to a table, and while embarrassing & humiliating as that was...the only thing they did was strap minoring devices to her body no different from those you see in the hospital. Despite her verbal objections & screaming for help, they only resorted to restraints to keep her still because she made such a fuss. When they got the data they had needed they dressed her and escorted her back to her cell. With only more questions than before. No weird probing, no injections, no sedatives to do horrible things to her, no rape, no beatings, Nothing! And that was the one & only exam she had in the entire month she had been here. On the one hand she was naturally grateful she wasn't deemed useful to use right away, but at the same time she wished they would let her go. She had spend part of her time sitting in a corner crying & praying she'll be rescued or let go or something. Eventually just to alleviate boredom she started exercising. Jumping jacks, push ups, sit ups, even some of her more basic moves of martial arts that the small space of her cell would allow. She thought of escape, at first she was thinking it was impossible, she was scared that there were tons of guards and staff & her skills were no match for some them who were probably military trained or former night club bouncers if their bulk was anything to go by.

But as time past she was starting to think escape was going to be her only option. It was either that or wait of them to find a use for her. And then...chance happened. She was working on her sit ups when she sensed something. Getting up from her bed to the door to sneak a glance outside her window of her cell door, two scientists were passing by with a metal briefcase. The case it self looked normal but something was...alive inside it. Some how Keiko could feel...something, a heart beat, a pulse, something she couldn't quite explain was in that case. Whatever it was, Keiko just knew it wasn't...terrestrial in nature. Something unnatural had just walked passed her and it filled her with dread.
