BOWYN/CHASE POV
BOWYN TRIED EVERYTHING IN HIS POWER TO MOVE FORWARD. Chase was just an 'obstacle', and to his understanding, wasn't the one to be with. Yeah, he had to question it whether feelings were there or not; again, he's only met and talked to the boy only once. It wasn't going to be the end of the world because of one boy.
Just a few days before, the next morning to be exact after Noen had spent the night (and while he was showering), Bo had received a notification from someone name Jaden.
Now, it's the same Jaden that has liked some of his pictures that he stumbled upon the night before. And to his liking, yeah, he was kind of good-looking (well, everyone that's ever followed him back was attractive; a cesspool of attractive hotties). They started talking through DM's, and somehow it ended with Jaden asking him out this upcoming weekend...on a date.
Now, this is all of a sudden; he agreed to it. But, it's just a friendly date — just to get to know each other, that's all...right? Maybe, it was going a little fast. He didn't want another repeat...
When Noen came out of the shower, and Bo couldn't stop looking at his phone, the boy asked, "what's with the grin?"
Bowyn didn't even realize that he had a grin; he shook his head, nipped his bottom lip slightly and said, "it's nothing." He puts his phone down, and looks at Noen. The blonde boy furrows his eyebrows together; does he think he's stupid? They're best friends. But, Noen doesn't say anything; that's his own business.
Noen turns away and starts to look around the room. Bo just looks at him, shirtless and wearing nothing but a towel around the room as if they had just got done having sex or something. He's looking for clothes to wear — HIS CLOTHES, to be exact. No one told him to shower, or spend the night.
But, he staring at the phone now, and he's wondering if it was okay after everything that's happened. Chase wasn't his, and neither was him. So, this is a good thing. To move forward, to actually have a good summer with someone he might enjoy being around other than Noen or Benji.
Right?
Well, it's too late now, because it is the morning of that date. He's woken up just a few hours before and hasn't gotten out of bed yet. His stomach is starting to feel like it was before. Except only this time, it wasn't just emptiness. It was more like butterflies. Bo was a nervous wreck; what is he going to do? What is he going to wear? What's he going to say?
He feels like a total girl now.
He gets up from the bed, and stretches a bit; he grabs for his phone to see that it's only 11:30 in the morning. He has enough time to get his nerves out, or even try to cancel it.
Jaden seems like a good guy. Like, literally a good guy; the epitome of a good guy. If he were to cancel, it would totally break both their hearts. He rolls the sleeves of his long sleeve jumper, and scratches the back of his head before walking over towards the bathroom, dragging his feet across the carpet. When he enters inside, he flicks the light on and looks at himself in the mirror.
His complexion seems very tiring, almost as if he hasn't slept long — of course, he hasn't. He woke up nervous. His lips are chapped, and his hair definitely needed to be washed. Ugh, he IS a girl!>>>>>|<<<<<
After showering, getting dressed into a white shirt and jeans, he walks downstairs towards the kitchen to see that his dad had left him a note on the kitchen counter. He nipped his bottom lip, looking at the note to see that it said something about coming home late from work. It wasn't anything new to him.
He goes over towards the refrigerator and grabs a carton of orange juice before he gets a notification on his phone. He takes his phone out of his pocket and pulls it up to see that he's been tagged in a story from 'luvanthony'.
He opens it, which links to an Instagram post about a weekend summer party taking place tonight. He's really not sure why he's been tagged to this post, but he surely can't go with having that friend date happening tonight as well. He nips his bottom lip, looking at Antony's Instagram and seeing pictures of him, posing, smiling and even a few occasional shirtless pics. But, one stood out the most and it's a recent picture of him and Chase.
Bo just stares at it, and stares at Chase seeing that he's normal; that nothing ever effected him at all. How could he just move on like that without — he doesn't want to work himself up. He sighs, putting the phone down and going back to what he was doing.
He grabbed the carton and twisted the cap off, not even caring to grab for a cup and just took a swig from it.
