Yoongi's POV:
I waited outside the engineering department, where the test was being held.
"Yoongi, what are you doing?," Jin asked. "Are you really waiting for the girls? I told you there's nothing to--"
But his words were cut off when students started piling out.
I looked around frantically to get some idea about the test - if it was difficult.
My heart dropped when almost every kid coming out had the same hopeless look on their faces.
"Ya Yoongi-," Jin called out to me as I started pawing my way through the crowd, grabbing and identifying any girl who remotely resembled y/n.
"Where are you?," I cried out in frustration.
I was starting to get tired and the crowd now having gotten thinner, made it easier but I still couldn't find her.
Jin, now next to me said, "who the fuck are you searching for? Jimin's jams? Because I keep telling ya they ain't here."
"Jin, for fuck's sake-," and then I spotted her. Walking out slowly, her head down.
"Y/n," I whispered and ran towards her.
She didn't see me and bumped right into me.
But without even looking up or saying a single word, she bowed and moved past me, as if in a daze.
I felt the guilt deep, deep in my bones.
I wanted to go after her, Lord knows I did...
...but I knew I was the last person she wanted to see right then.
So I let her go.
Even though all I wanted was to tell her how sorry I was.
Maybe I wouldn't even need to say sorry. She's always studying so she might not have done as well as she thought but still managed to get a seat? She is smart, that I know.
So I decided to wait it out and see if I really needed to apologize or congratulate her.
My thoughts were interrupted when Jin's arm landed across my shoulder and he whistled in my ear. "Ah~ now it makes sense."
"What?"
"I'm pretty sure I didn't see her in the morning," Jin said, rubbing his lower lip as if trying to remember.
"Yeah, she was late," and once again, I hated myself some more.
"Oh, that's why!," he clapped his hands. "You've got some eye, man," he stared after y/n. "She might be the only pretty one in the freshers."
