Chapter 1

•Cassie's P.O.V•

"Next up in Heat 3 is Cassie Miller" I heard over the PA. I grabbed my board and headed over to the start up. I clipped in my board and Waited for the buzzer. It went off. I started my journey down the hill and off the jumps and ramps. I finished with a 92.8 and was satisfied. I unclipped and walked over to Matt." mommy" Mason said squirming out of Matts arms and into mine. "Good job Cassie" Matt said hugging me. Matt had been my best friend since I found out u was pregnant with Mason. He knew Mason was Jacks kid but Jack had no idea. "Thanks Matt" I said back. I grabbed Mason as Matt took my board. I was done for today I think. I just had to see if I qualified for the pre games. We went to the qualifying stand and waited. I could tell they were getting cold. Me? I was used to it. "Cassie Miller" the PA stated. I turned around and looked at the screen. "Qualified" it read. I smiled and turned around to Hug Matt and Mason. "Oh my god good job" Matt said hugging me. I took Mason as we started walking towards the jeep. I put my board in the back and took all my gear off leaving me in my black leggings and my maroon obey hoodie. I pulled on my uggs and grabbed Mason. I took all his gear off and buckled him in his car seat. Matt got a phone call that I guess was pretty important. I started the car and posted a picture on Twitter. "Pre games here I come. It was of Me and Mason with Matt and my snowboard. Matt got in and started to drive. "Hey sooooo I have Magcon and I was wondering if you wanted to come with? Mason too" he said. "Um ok" I said regretting it. Jack would be there. "Great we leave tonight." He said smiling. "But I have training." I said. "We are going to Canada or the first stop so bam bring the stuff" Matt said smiling. I nodded slowly. We got back to my house and packed everything. I packed a normal bag for me, my snowboard bag, my back pack which had a lot of Masons stuff in it, and Masons bag. I put Mason in little Flannels and a grey long sleeve shirt I also threw a Canada hat on him. (The beanie kind with the ball on the end). I put the stuff in the back of the jeep and we all drove to the airport.

We got to the airport and went through security and stuff. "Mommy are we gonna fly?" Mason asked as I took a bag of animal crackers out for him. "Yes baby Mason" I said smiling. I loved him to death. I never wanted to get pregnant at 17 but I'm kinda glad I did. We got on the plane and headed to Canada. Mason liked it. Every time I looked at Mason I saw Jack. I don't know if it was the brown hair or tan skin. Or what but he was definitely Jacks kid. As we took off and Matt played with Mason I thought about Jack. How me met when Matt first brought me to Magcon with him. How we loved each other endlessly. How we fought over that one stupid thing that ended our relationship right before I found out I was pregnant with his child. Mason crawled onto my lap and looked out the window. I smiled at him as we continued our flight to Canada.
