The day is, August 28 3099.
The birds. I could hear them!
They were singing!
But how, it's been months since...
I jolted awake, turning to veiw my surroundings. "I see your awake, welcome back to the world of the living kid".
I raised my head up and to my surprise, it was the older girl who helped me recover my energy.
"My names Scarlet, how you feeling?" Scarlet had beautiful dark purple hair that looked almost black that reached her hip, warm Scarlet eyes and beautiful dark skin at a height of about 5'9. Very different compared to my golden blond hair, ocean blue eyes and pale skin only at a height of 4 foot. "I feel a bit better thank you" I turn to notice we're the only ones around. "Scar where are the others?, hope you don't mind if I give you a nickname by the way"
"No prob, spares us time in a fight and protects our identity better if we have nicknames don't ya think?, the others are up ahead starting up a camp site".
Without warning I sprinted towards the camp "thanks Scar!"
"Wait! I'm supposed to be looking after ya!" She shouted at me, I just giggled and kept going. I couldn't help but laugh the whole way to the camp while she chased after me. I had almost forgotten how good it felt to be free. "L-Lisa! g-guys! She's
a-awake!" I could hear Mia, one of the 14 year olds shout before getting scolded by Cain the other 14 year old "Mia! She's not that far, sheesh my ears!" He whisper,shouted.
"Hi Mia!" I shouted back. Hearing a loud "Not you too!" From Cain.
The camp was beautiful! I was surprised how well built it was. Along the right was a string of 8 tents with a small garden of herbs, fruits and vegetables already growing, to the left was a small playground for the youngest of the kids with a ninth tent that looked to be for schooling with an open field next to it. This really was heavenly but then it hit me then, how long had I been out?
I looked around and eventually found John, one of the 13 year olds. He told me Milo and Sally were in a tenth tent up ahead. Apparently it was a strategy room, the only ones allowed in were the 15 year olds, Sally and me.
As I got closer I heard the commotion going on.
"You can't seriously be thinking about staying here! We'll be discovered eventually!" Alex shouted in rage. "Calm down Alex, even if we left here, where would we go? If we go to town we'll be spotted easily in such a large group, and we're the only ones capable of getting jobs for money, the others are still young." I heard Fallon reason. "What about the magik guilds? If we can get to one we're safe." Inquired Scarlet. "They're still only rumours and even if we confirmed they're existence they're locations are kept secret, and like Fallon said earlier, our group is too big to go anywhere right now" Milo stated. Sally just stood beside him thinking. I walked in and calmly stated, "Then we split up, Micheal and Cain can pear up to find information about the Magiks guilds in the day while Perry, Alex and Helga take the night shift. Can I ask how many guilds are there?"
"Lisa! You're ok! I heard Sally cheer before running to me and giving me a big bear hug.
"Hi Sally! Are you ok?! How long have I been out? Happy birthday Milo!" I blabbed in one breath before taking a big gulp of air.
Sally and Milo just laughed before responding. "We're both fine. It's been roughly 3 days so Milos birthday already passed. And chill out pip-squeak or you'll pass out again." Sally replied
Fallon then proceeded to reply to my earlier questions, "There are 5 guilds in total. One in each corner of Zaliaz near supernatural territory."
Sally then joined in "we'll have to split up according to both age and strength, each group should have a leader, supporter, scouter and fighter, right?"
"Wow you have some pretty awesome sisters Milo." Scar complimented Which made Milo laugh, in what I think was embarrassment, the good kind I hope. "I think it's best we update a profile for everyone here, that way when the time comes to split up we'll be set." Alex said while shooting a message made out of lighting that Scar barely missed. "What was that for douchebag?! You could have killed me!"
"But I didn't"
Before things could get any worse Fallon stepped in, "Stop! Both of you this isn't the time, if you wanna spare do it later in the field." Just then John and Jimmy entered the tent. "Sorry to interrupt but we got a lightning message?" John said in a questioning tone. "We need your help with everyone's profiles, if you don't mind?" Sally seemed more grown up today, more calm, she was normally more hotheaded. Fallon quickly informed us how uniforms would be assigned, simple shirts, cardigans, skirts, shorts, trousers and combat boots. And how the colour of our uniforms and the stripes on our shirts matched our classification.
In a matter of minutes a stack of 28 papers were in front of us starting oldest to youngest.
The ranking system was simple
Black for leaders
Green for supporters
Dark Red for fighters
And blue for scouters
The coloured stripes represented age and the amount of stripes represented how useful someone's ability was in combat
13-16 white
10-12 bronze
8-10 silver
5-7 gold
2-4 grey
