𝗘𝗠𝗜𝗞𝗢 𝗜𝗦 𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗞𝗙𝗨𝗟 for the long years she spent on training despite her slight annoyance and dismay in not debuting sooner when she reached the appropriate age to do so. If anything those years really polished her skills not only in dancing itself but also got to know her voice more and how to fully utilize it to the fullest. Countless sleepless nights in the practice room where she danced while singing to test her stability or finding techniques that work best for her vocals.

They tried discouraging her which is disguised as "advice", it only fueled her desire to prove the company wrong. The company had always pushed her to become a rapper for her deep voice which only frustrated her to no end as if the founder of the company knew her own voice better than her. Emiko wasn't going to let the founder just throw away all her hard work and give in his techniques just because she has a deep voice.

Through the survival show, "Sixteen" she proved him wrong in the performances in it. Emiko didn't hear any more offers or persuasions for her to transition to rapping.

She has become the backbone of the group not only in terms of performance which she monitors the dance practices (In the eyes of fans it is quite a surprise to see Emiko so serious contrasting her bright personality, it is sweet to see that despite her strictness she was patient with them.) as well as songs in their discography as she is arguably the most stable member in the group and is responsible for the hidden vocals in their discography. As TWICE isn't known for their vocals, they proved they could still pull through with their amazing voices and Emiko consistently represented the full capacity of the group which they haven't shown just yet.
