Taking care of Shadow

Red's P.O.V

"Red, can you take care of Shadow while me, Blue, and Green head out to get some baby equipment." Vio asked me.

"Of course I can." I said cheerfully. Vio handed me baby Shadow. "He's so cute!" I thought. Shadow looked at me then at Vio and started whimpering.

"I think he likes you more Vio." Green commented.

"Hurry up guys! I don't got all day!" Blue yelled outside.

"We're coming! Bye Red, Bye Shadow!" They both said while heading out the door and closing it behind them.

I carried Shadow to the dining room and put him on a chair. "I'm gonna get you some milk and some cookies ok?" I said.

I picked up some dough and made some cookie shapes for him, me, and the others.

When I went to go get a bottle for Shadow that's when I remembered "We don't have baby bottles." I thought. I sighed and put the dough in the oven.

I looked over at Shadow and gasp. He was standing on the edge of the table, trying to look out of the backyard.

I ran over to him before he fell. "Shadow what were you thinking?! You could've gotten hurt!" I yelled in worry. I guess Shadow didn't expect me to yell at him, so he started crying.

"Aww it's ok! I'm sorry." I said softly while cradling him. Shadow sniffed and wiped away his tears. For being a baby, Shadow is pretty easy to calm down, I realized.

I carried Shadow in one hand and took out the cookies with the other. I put the cookies on the table and placed Shadow back on the chair.

Shadow looked at the cookies and drooled. He tried to grab one, but I pushed the cookies farther away from him.

"Not know Shadow, I have to get you milk first." I announced.

Shadow whimpered and started crying again, but way louder than last time, I sighed. "I guess one won't hurt." I said and gave Shadow a cookie.

He stopped crying once he saw and smelled the cookie in my hand. He took the cookie and bit into it easily since i made it soft for him.

I was afraid when his eyes widened, but then he kept eating it, but faster. That's when I realized his eyes must have widened because he loved the cookie so much.

I went to get a plastic cup with a straw and lid on it so:
1. He won't spill anything and everywhere
2. It's the easiest thing for him to drink out of and 3. So he wouldn't dip his hand in it.
I filled it up with milk and placed the plastic cup (with the straw.) on the table.

Once Shadow was done eating his cookie, he reached over and grabbed the cup and started drinking the milk.

I was thinking in my own little world, when I heard knocking on the door. I walked over and opened the door, seeing the others with things for Shadow.
