New World

Chapter 5

"Everything's here guys. Food, medical supplies," Hiyeon told them.

"Yeah, everything but weapons," Taehyung said.

"We could build something. Just like that desk board you have. We could use that as a shield," Sohee said finishing up with wrapping Jungkook's shoulder.

"I see ramen packs.....firewoks.....a radio.......A RADIO!," hiyeon yelled.

She pulled it from the box and everyone rushed towards her. It was a portable AM/FM radio in the color of brown. She turned it on and fixed its antenna. The thing looks pretty old so hopefully it works. Soon they started to hear mumbling so Hiyeon turned it up more.

"..... and I hope everyone is safe. I never thought the world would come to this. We will be working on sending..............so for the time being..............don't come out-." The radio started to break up and it soon turned off.

"Damn it! That cheap ass radio," Namjoon said.

"Wait Hiyeon, you said there are fireworks in there?," Jungkook said.

"Yeah," she said going back in the box to pull out thick fireworks.

"Wow! What is our school doing with these kinds of fireworks," Taehyung said.

"I think they use it for school events. Like that one time fireworks were used for the dance performances," Sohee told him.

"That could probably come in handy," Namjoon said.

"Look, a microwave too!," Hiyeon said.

There wasn't much food in the storage room but it was enough to support them for about 3 more days or so. They found cans of sodas and empty water bottles that they could use to refill. The school was big on recycling. They continued to look through boxes. They found a tool box, utensils, flash lights. It was exactly 9:30 and they thought it was a good time to get some rest. But before going to sleep they blocked off the door with a tall locker that was sitting in the back of the room. The heater must have been shut off because there was no heat coming from the vents so it was chilly in there.

"I found two blankets," Hiyeon said.

"Okay, the two girls can share and the rest of the guys will share one," Namjoon said.

"Woah, I think this place was used for  drama club because like at these outfits," Sohee said showing them the Snow White dress.

There was a box full of clothes. Mostly customs but some were actually cute and wearable. Yes! The world was coming to an end and Sohee was too busy shopping in a storage room. Well she couldn't wear a sweaty uniform for long. Plus, her and Hiyeon had on skirts and it would be uncomfortable if they went on any farther wearing it. She found a pair of jeans in her sizes and a plain black shirt.

Later on, Hiyeon and Sohee went to sleep. Hiyeon's head was laying on Sohee's arm and Namjoon and Taehyung were sleeping side by side. But Jungkook was the only one up. He was sitting down drinking a can of orange soda. Sohee heard sudden movement and noticed Jungkook. She got up slowly laying Hiyeon's head down and went to go sit next to him.

"What are you doing up still? Aren't you tired from being chased?," she asked him.

"Do you think we're gonna survive this?"
