Chapter 4

"Shhhh," Taehyung told the others while pointing up at the ceiling.

Hiyeon didn't wanna look up. Instead, she held tightly onto Namjoon while pushing her face into his neck. Blood started to rush to his cheeks but he shook his head trying to ignore her current attention. Namjoon put his hand up to signal everyone to move along. He took a few slow steps and so did the others. Jungkook was following behind Sohee when his right foot stepped on a piece of trash. He heard movement and his eyes traveled above his head to see a pair of red eyes staring down at him.

"Run!," Taehyung yelled.

They all took off running down the steps and noticed that they were passing through the first floor now. Jungkook heard quick feet following behind him. He turned his neck around to see the monster who had multiple legs chasing after him. The zombie looked much bigger now that it was behind him. Taehyung was now ahead of everyone else. After the staircase was a long hallway and at the end of it was the storage room. Namjoon was slowing down due to having weight on his back.

"Taehyung! Here, the keys. Find the right one quick!," Namjoon said throwing the keys to him.

The keys didn't reach him but they slid across the floor towards his direction. Taehyung picked up the keys from the cold floor and finally made it to the storage room. He quickly tried the first key and jiggled it but the door didn't unlock. He continued to try the second key but it still didn't unlock the storage room.

"Hurry!," Sohee yelled running down the hallway.

Jungkook felt fingers reaching at his back and that's when it landed a scratch on his shoulder. He groaned in pain. Once Taehyung finally got the door open he held the door for the others to come in.

"Hiyeon. You gotta run the rest of the way yourself," he said putting her down.

"You can make it. I have to stop this thing," Namjoon told her.

"But what if...you don't make it?,"she asked him.

"Just go! Get to the room."

Namjoon took off running pass Sohee. He gripped onto the teachers stick tightly. The monster was chasing after Jungkook who was scared for his life. It was 3 times bigger than him and every step it took it planted holes into the ground. Namjoon held up the medal stick and aimed for its head. He remembered the lesson he was taught from the time him and his brother went to go throw axes. It didn't take him a long time to learn due to the fact that he was into that kind of stuff. Once he held up the axe, he released it from his hands and it was as if everything went in slow motion. The axe flew across the hall spinning in circles. Sohee grabbed Hiyeon and ran with her the rest of the way. Namjoon watched as the medal stick dug it's way into it's left eye. Namjoon grabbed Jungkook and carried him to the room. Suddenly, there was a loud growl and heavy wind hit them in the face. The monster crawled back up the stairs and Taehyung closed the door behind the two.

"T-that thing is fast," Namjoon said panting.

"Jungkook...you're bleeding!," Sohee said.

There were 3 painful lines on his back and his shirt was all ripped up." There must be supplies and stuff here," Sohee said looking around and inside boxes. She finally found a first aid kit and sat herself next to the injured boy. She began to treat his back.

"Stop moving," she told him.

"It hurts," he said frowning.

"It wouldn't hurt as much if you stopped mov....ing."

Jungkook looked Sohee right in her eyes and in that moment her cheeks started to form a light pink color. The person Jungkook knows hates him was the first one to notice his wound.
