"What the fuck do you mean you're gay?!", Mrs. Hood yelled at her son, Calum.

Calum's older sister, Mali-Koa, looked disgusted but surprisingly not at Calum but at her Mum. Calum was close to tears and was quickly embraced by his sister.

"It means Calum likes boys not girls. How hard is that for you to understand?!", Mali yelled back. Calum didn't even want to look up at them arguing over something that shouldn't be a big deal.

"I'm sorry if I don't want my son to go to Hell because he chose to be gay! I didn't pay for him to go to a nice private Catholic school just so he could want to go against God!"

Mali-Koa gasped at their mother's words, grabbed Calum's hand and ran out of the house as fast as they could. Right over to the humble abode that belonged to Michael Clifford, one of the two's 3 best friends.

She quickly knocked on the door loudly so Mikey could hear them at the door while Calum kept to himself, listening to his music through his headphones so loud that Mali-Koa could hear it perfectly.

Michael opened the door and suddenly had a concerned look on his face.

"Calum, are you okay? What happened?", and put a hand on his shoulder. Calum looked down at his feet with a few tears dripping down his chubby cheeks.

"Maybe we should go into the basement. Ashton and Luke are down there too.", Michael said. Calum instantly felt a little better just hearing Luke's name, not knowing why. They walked down there. It was like their hangout because no one else ever went down there.

Luke and Ashton looked up when they heard the stairs creaking as Mikey, Mali, and Calum walked down them into the basement. Luke padded the space next to him for Calum to sit down there, which he did. Calum laid his head on Luke's chest and felt so much better.

"Calum came out to our Mum. She said she that she didn't pay for him to go to private Catholic school for him to go against God and choose to want to go to Hell. How could she say something so cruel?", Mali-Koa explained.

"Hey, guys? I think I'm gay too...", Ashton said, hugging his knees to his chest.

"I think I am too.", Michael said.

"Same.", Luke said.

"Well, since we're all coming out, I'm pansexual.", Mali-Koa confessed.

"That's actually pretty cool I mean doesn't that mean you are attracted to all genders?", Calum said, finally talking. Mali nodded.

"You know what? Let's throw a sleepover in celebration of being little rejects to this stereotypical town that let's call...", Mali-Koa thought for a moment, "Suburbia! Yeah! Here's to looking out at a town called Suburbia!"

The boys giggled when she said the speech.

"What's so funny?", Mali asked.

"That's a quote from an All Time Low song, Long Live The Reckless And The Brave.", Michael giggled.

She wanted to hear the song and afterwards thought it was so amazing and described their situation well, they all agreed to make it their little group of rejects' anthem.

"Here's to looking out at a town called Suburbia!", they all yelled.

That was the start of a whole new chapter of all five of their lives.
