It was like talking to a wall.
"I do it for their own good, Belle. I do it to protect each of you from this world that we live in."
I shook my head.
"I understand, Klaus. You're not the monster I once thought you to be." I looked away, towards Edward a sharp pain hitting me. "I only wish you didn't have to be so sneaky about it. We exist in this world as well. We make friends. Disappearing will cause them to search."
"Forget him, sister." Klaus turned my head back to him. "Let's leave tonight and forget them. They aren't your problem."
My brother didn't know how wrong he was. The second I saw Edward was the second I lost any control over this fate of mine.
"I'm fighting with them. With or without you, brother." I searched his eyes. "I only hope that its with you because with you by my side, I won't be afraid."
