We had our guy and our location. It had been two month or so that I started to work with Nines and I had gotten the hang of it. In my recent leave from work, I decided to learn sign language to help Nines out in a way without having to rely on my phone.
Well, it was easier since I just had to remember all I learnt.
The moment I came back Nines told me of our recent case and how he had found out where our criminal was taking the bodies. We just had to walk in the trap.
A month has passed as I said and this god damn feelings won't go away.
I can't stop thinking of that time back a few weeks ago where Nines risked himself for me. The grunts he left sounded off. The way they decided to rip out his thirium pump as it was nothing, angered me. But I couldn't fucking do anything, I was so out of it.
Thank fucking someone, that Connor came in time to save him.
But now it was a different case with different people and a different scene.
It was horrible when Nines showed me all the evidence. The pictures, how the bodies were placed and what the interest was. Androids.
This psycho wanted androids and had peaked an interest in this tin can.
This world is dammed.
The plan was only to get in. Secure any ways out, and find the suspect. But one of us will have to wait to see who it is. And that one of us had to be what they wanted, Nines.
I was going to fight him over it being a terrible idea and that he was crazy enough to decide to give himself up for the case.
But he signed that he didn't want anyone else in danger. That it was because of his liking for a calm environment, made him decide on that.
Connor on the other hand, protested. I mean, your own brother could get killed in matter of seconds.

Nines came back in more comfortable clothes, at least for him. I don't know who thought leather pants were a nice thing but he does whatever he wants, he has his rights and whatever.
The place was a brothel. We couldn't bring our guns for safety measures. I left anything that consisted of weapons, but decided to stay with my phone.
Nines by my side, on the passanger seat, was adjusting the ear piece. We had connected the audio to me and the station in case anything went wrong.
Anything could go wrong. There was always that small thought that something may go wrong, even if we were perfect in our jobs or not.
I stared at my hands. If only there was a way to destroy the evil in this dammed world.
I heard Nines sighed, look over I could hear his internal fans begin to whirl.
"You okay?"
He nodded at me.
"Nervous? I'm sure you'll be fine, you're stronger than him and anyone else I seen."
I seemed to win over that tensed feeling Nines felt and with that I was glad. It was only when I noticed of disappearance of his LED processor.
"Hey? What happened to your LED?"
Nines moved his hand to himself.
'I'
He moved his hand to his temple where it should've been. And made a ripping sign
'Took it off.'
I raised my brows and stared at him. I hide away almost all my fingers except the thumb and my pinkie, moving them to ask why.
Nines quickly moved his own hands to reply, pointing at himself.
'I.'
He spread his fingers and moved from pointing at him toward me.
'Don't want'
He moved both hands, bending his elbow to direct the direction to himself and moving them.
'Worry'
He finished by pointing at me. 'You.'
I raised my brows.
Why?
Nines watched me as I stayed still, no response leaving me. "You be careful, yeah? I'll go in, check what I'm allowed. You keep that thing on and don't lose it, it has a GPS."
He nodded before looking at the earpiece. He placed it on and activated, I did the same to mine.
"Do you two copy me?" Connor's voice was heard once we activated them
"Yeah we do."
"Alright, so just follow the plan. If anything happens, let's improvise. And let's keep each other updated."
"Heard ya."
We got out off the borrowed car, it was only to not draw much attention.
We walked over to the door. Giving each other a nod.
Before we entered, we already knew it was a divided underground brothel. At the entry there was a human and an android who would check on the people who would come.
We stood by the wall as the opposite species checked us. The android checked me for any weapons but only found the form of my phone and with that he stepped aside. Though the human male, slightly bigger than Nines, patted him and groped him in odd places.
Nines became stiff. I held my ground, as much as Nines seemed uncomfortable, he didn't seem to want to bother with what was happening.
"You may pass." Both told us as they opened different doors.
Nines would go into the door where the human male was by and I would go to the Android one.
I watched Nines go first with a small glance at me before he vanished from my sight.
