What good is love on an empty heart?
Why waste your time on
Something that will never start?
You give and you give,
While I'll just take it all
Without a hint of remorse
Because my heart's just that small
Now I'm not the Grinch
And you're not from Whoville
My heart's not getting any bigger
Try all you want,
That's not changing soon
Do us both a favor,
And don't aim for the moon
Because you WILL miss,
But you won't land amongst the stars
You'll just fall harder and faster
Than you ever have before
And I don't want to be held responsible,
For your burns,
The cuts and scars
Left over from the fiery inferno,
You mistook for love and devotion.
