The best way to flesh out your character is to figure out the following:
1 ) their three best personality traits 2 ) their best talents/skills 3 ) their worst flaws 4 ) what others think of them 5 ) what they think of themselves 6 ) the internal flaw that holds them back and must change 7 ) how this flaw affects their daily life 8 ) what caused this flaw to exist 9 ) the big life lesson they must learn before they can change 10 ) what has their life been like so far 11 ) who are their family and friends 12 ) what their normal/daily life is like when the story ends
