Eight people ran as fast as they could through the rainy woods, four carrying babies.
"We can't run forever." Said the one furthest to the right, carrying the crying baby infant.
"I know, but he cant find us." Said her husband.
"Correction, he cant find the children" Said his best friend, shielding the rain from his child.
His wife stopped and knelt on the ground, panting, crying.
They all stopped and gathered around her, kneeling on the ground. They put the babies in the middle, shielding them from the rain. Silent tears rolled down their cheeks, covered by the rain. They knew what was coming, and it wasn't the best idea.
"You know what we have to do, right?" Said one of them
"They will be raised properly, and have a good start in life"
"I know"
"They will outlaw magic, forever."
"I know"
"It's settled then"
They reached out their hands towards one another. Holding them tight, they began to chant a spell.Unchain the spirit
And set them free
Forever to be loved
Lives lived care freeA Witch, a Magician, a Warlock and a Mage, all holding hands, something unknown to the magical world. A blue glow started to shine from the circle when they began to hear the crashing through the trees. They began to chant louder. Just then, a monster like no other burst through the trees.
"STOP"
They chanted louder, the glow shining brighter.
"GET THEM"
A battalion of wolves burst through the trees and rushed the group of people. They looked up and locked eyes, crying. They finished the last sentence just as the first wolves lunged, the blue glow bursting from within the circle temporary blinding the wolves. As soon as their vision returned, they knew it was too late, the children gone, and piles of ash where the parents knelt, burned from the inside by the magic they used.
"NO, FIND THOSE CHILDREN. They must die, all of them. "
