Yeah ghouls aren’t as sexy as vampires but there’s a good reason for that. Vampires are violent predators and if it wasn’t for their glamour humans would hunt them down instead of being preyed upon. Ghouls on the other hand are scavengers we don’t tend to hunt except in extreme circumstances. Personally I think Ghouls are better any of course I’m biased being one. Ghouls have a few gifts were super strong, we have a few more canine teeth for tearing meet. We have retractable claws specially designed for digging. We’re not quite as immortal as vampires but we have twice the life span. We can go out in sunlight but prefer not to. We have an awesome health benefits our immune system can destroy all human illness and most poisons. Our stomachs are garbage disposals we can eat pretty much anything metal, glass, or as we use it for bone. Now the reason humans are afraid of us is obvious, we eat them. Not while their alive of course, we eat dead people were just decomposers we don’t do it to be demonic or anything we need to eat humans. I don’t know who did the science but someone figured out that there are certain enzymes humans produce that we need but don’t produce ourselves. Try and explain that to them and they still flip. I used to have a job but we don’t blend well we look human enough but we have a few tells first off I fell asleep a lot, when I wasn’t paying attention my claws would slip out or id smile to wide and show off my extra canines. The biggest tell however was my breath when you eat dead things tic tacs don’t really cover it. Luckily for me I didn’t have to worry about getting found out or worse fired when the zombie apocalypse happened I wasn’t really concerned about drawing a salary. Ghouls don’t have to worry much about zombie were immune to the virus so zombies are basically walking happy meals. All me have to really worry about is mobs, if we get stuck in a mob were almost as vulnerable as vulnerable as humans. With our increased strength and high tolerance to pain we can put up a better fight but they can still tear us to shreds given a chance.

Ghouls are social creatures we prefer to live in family groups but when I met Victoria I was on my own. It happened about a year into the zombie and I was on my own I was headed north because I’d heard there was supposed to be a colony. I’ve always preferred humans to my own kind what can I say im a people ghoul. I was somewhere in northern Oregon following a hippie zombie, well i assume hed been a zombie he still reeked of weed. I normally don’t feed on druggies, drugs don’t hurt us but we can end up on trips similar to humans. I hadn’t eaten in about a day because surprisingly few zombies had penetrated the deep forests of Oregon. As I said before Ghouls weren’t traditionally hunters but after humanity’s population was decimated the dead weren’t staying down. We adapted well to the role of predator I used my incredible sense of smell to track the hippie down over a mile. I finally found him staggering along in front of a picturesque cabin on a small lake. He didn’t hear me coming but the wind shifted and he caught my scent. He turned around an let out a loud moan and started staggering forward towards me. I smiled and released my claws I cracked my neck and let out my own roar showing off my impressive fangs I cannonballed forward I grabbed the zombies left arm ripping it out of its socket. The zombie staggered but didn’t fall before it could turn back towards me I rocketed forwards again grabbing its other arm yanking its right arm out. I stopped and watched as the zombie turned around again I couldn’t wonder if it felt dizzy. The zombie began staggering towards  me again its arms flailing uselessly like marionette with its strings cut. I rushed forward one last time and pounced onto the zombie knocking it on its back I pushed up with my arms and slammed my feet back down on its knees crushing them. The zombie snapped at me helplessly but it was over. I buried my teeth into its throat I ripped into its esophagus and trachea. The zombie let out one last undying moan as I tore through its spine. I tossed the head away and began gorging myself; its blood still contained high level of THC. That was probably why when I looked up and saw Victoria she appeared angelic, right up till I saw the frying pan. she was holding. A she started running towards me I shouted “it’s not what you think” for a split second She seemed shocked and began to slow but her adrenaline had taken over and she smashed full on in the faced and knocked me out.
