Chapter 15- Back Into the Dark

Shane's POV

I woke up with joey hugging my waist, he can be so cute sometimes. I ran my fingers through his hair, trying not to wake him, but he woke up anyways. "morning shaney" he said, smiling and sitting up.

"Hey, what do you want to do today? we don't have school due to the storm." I said before giving him a quick kiss. "I don't know, but I have something to tell you." He said. "is everything okay?? you seem worried!!" I quickly replied. "no, no shane, it's okay. its actually good news!" he said.

I calmed down after that. I just know I would freak out if he ever left me. "Well, I saw Ty and Sky...umm...together, last night."he said "what do you mean, together?" I said, trying not to be dirty minded. "I mean, I found them making out on the counter..." he said awkwardly.

"Well, that's good, but they all are leaving today, so we can go wherever we want."I said breaking the silence. "dont worry, I'll plan something." he said, smiling at me. I can't wait. this would be our second date.

It was already 9:00, so we both got out of bed not bothering to change into anything yet. we rushed down the stairs to find that most people had already left. all that was left was Tyler, Ty, and Sky. when we walked in, Ty immediately came up to me.

"Hey, switch. thanks for the dare yesterday! Sky and I are dating now!" He said laughing and holding Sky's hand. "wow...maybe this could actually help our case." I whispered to Joey. "all we have to worry about now is...is..." I continued before I sat on the floor and began crying.

"shane, calm down. what's wrong?" he said sitting on the floor with me. he put his arm around my waist and stroked my hair. "I just... remembered my dad. he's back, I...hope my mom is okay" I said while calming down.

"I'm sure she fine, shaney. she's a smart lady, she'll know what to do." he said picking me up and putting me on the couch. Tyler, Ty, and Sky must have left, because they were nowhere to be seen.

"Shane, he won't hurt you or your mom. I'll make sure he doesn't." I just hugged him and cried onto his shoulder. "I know what can cheer you up! I already planned the first part of our date!" I slightly smiled after he said that.
